Did not Attend (DNAs)
Did you know that you can cancel your appointment with us
in a click! Visit our website: http://www.doctorsnhs.co.uk
Each month there are approximately 230 appointments
which go to waste because patients who booked these
appointments fail to attend, this is an enormous waste of
clinical and administrative time. Please help us to help you
by always cancelling an appointment you are unable to
attend or no longer need, we are then able to offer this
appointment to another person in need.
Please don't be a DNA!

YOU SAID WE DID
It is our intention to provide a comprehensive range of high quality health care to all of our patients.
In December 2012 we distributed a Patient Survey to understand what our patients wanted from their GP surgery.
Full results available on our website
After collating all the information from the surveys returned there were some questions, comments, suggestions as
outlined below.




“Dedicated late opening on certain days” – we provide extended hours opening on Mondays and Thursdays,
see article on page 1
“Need more female doctors/more permanent doctors)” – there are 10 permanent doctors: 5 male and 5
female – see details on page 1
Have “Repeat prescription box not at reception desk” – we now provide secure boxes at Sedgefield and
Fishburn reception area.
“Is there a patient forum?” – yes there is, the Patient Participation Group as detailed below
Patient Participation Group –
 Helps the practice understand the views of Patients on health related issues
 Allows the practice to discuss information with Patients on the possible impacts and priorities of Clinical
Commissioning
 Encourages Patient involvement in the practice
We are still seeking patients in the 16 to 45 age group and patients of all ages from the Trimdons.
If you would like to be involved - or if you would just like to discuss what it entails - then please contact the
Practice Manager Helen Letts on 01740 620300.
(NEXT MEETING 11/07/13 at 6pm until 7pm, Sedgefield Surgery)
REBRANDING – The GP Partners have decided they would like to change the name of the Practice from Dr Jones &
Partners to something which encompasses the four individual surgery sites which make up our practice and would
welcome suggestions from staff, patients, carers and visitors. The new name might relate to the geographical
location of the practice area or could see a change of name to something more organic like a tree or flower or
object / sculpture. If you have a suggestion please can you drop it into one of our surgeries, telephone our
Receptionists or email cd-pct.DrJonesPrescriptions@nhs.net
All ideas will be considered
