Heath Lane Surgery

Aim:

To direct patients to most appropriate health care professional

From June 1st requests for same day face to face appointments will be triaged by the Receptionist. They will take your details and a brief description of the problem.

The Receptionist will establish how to deal with each request by offering one of the following with a Doctor:

Give advice over the phone if appropriate,

Prescribe medication for you to collect,

Book a same day appointment or advise to make a next available routine appointment depending on the urgency of the problem.

This will allow the doctors to see all those patients needing urgent medical attention on the same day and give continuity of care by having more availability to pre book appointments with your chosen GP.

We also provide telephone consultations with all GPs which you can book in advance

Doctors have more pre bookable appointments released for you to book up to 6 weeks in advance

All receptionists can take requests for non-repeat medication requests

– no need for an appointment unless your

Doctor has requested it.

Remember
