Environmental Remediation Engineer / Project Manager (Greenville, SC)
Job Description
TRC Environmental Corporation’s Greenville, South Carolina environmental engineering practice is
growing and we are looking for exceptional candidates to grow with us. Our Greenville, South Carolina
office has an immediate opening for an environmental engineer with 8 to 12 years of experience in
groundwater, soil remediation, storm water management, and civil engineering. The selected candidate
will demonstrate strong project management skills, technical excellence and quality, leadership
potential, a commitment to lifelong learning and growth, and the desire to build a long and rewarding
career with TRC.
Responsibilities:
This position is responsible for managing the engineering remedial actions on large complex projects
with areas of concern for soil, groundwater and sediment. Activities will include coordinating with the
senior project managers, staff engineers, and site-specific subcontractor discipline support; preparing
conceptual and detailed designs; developing project schedules; managing budgets; preparing technical
work plans, feasibility study reports, and remedial action work plans; and ensuring safe and quality
execution. Responsibilities also include preparation of final design reports and calculations on complex
remediation projects, as well as coordinating directly with our construction/remediation teams.
Requirements:

Proven experience in environmental remediation, civil engineering design, construction
implementation, with strong technical responsibilities in project management, remedial design
and construction in a consulting engineering environment.
 Strong communication and writing skills are required.
 B.S. degree or higher in Civil Engineering.
 PE license in South Carolina and willingness to obtain PE licenses in other states as required is
preferred.
 Knowledge of environmental site remediation regulations and technical guidance, especially in
the Southeast US.
 Current 40-hour HAZWOPER and 8-hour Site Supervisor certification is a plus.
 Experience with behavior-based safety systems (such as Loss Prevention SystemTM) is a plus.
 Advanced knowledge of MS Office including Word, Excel, PowerPoint and Project is required, as
well as effective oral and written communication skills and a proven ability to work in a team
environment and a positive professional attitude.
 Not having to relocate to Greenville, SC area is a plus.
This position requires annual medical monitoring. The ability and willingness to travel to perform and
oversee fieldwork is also required.
