Friday: October 16
10:15-10:45 Campus Tour F/A/CG
Location: McGavran Front Lawn
Join our friendly admissions team as they lead an exclusive tour of our beautiful Pasadena
campus. Can’t make it Friday morning? Our second exclusive tour will take place Saturday
evening.
11:00am-11:50: Chapel –10 Years of Faithfulness F/A/CG
Location: Franson Hall
During chapel we will be privileged to hear from several key leaders who were around for the
early years of the school. This is also a great opportunity to join with the community to sing a
few of the Providence classic hymns.
11:50-12:00 Pep Rally F/A/CG
Location: Franson Hall
A group of student leaders will be directing our campus in a rousing send off for the soccer and
volleyball teams. Don’t miss the opportunity to display a little Sea Beggar Pride, cheer on our
athletes, and even catch a glimpse of Piet Hein!
12:00-1:00pm: Lunch F/A/CG
Location: Pierce Dining Hall
Join the students for lunch in the dining hall before they head to classes. You can pay a la carte
in the dining hall.
12:30-4:35pm: Classes F
Location: Upper Speer, McGavran and Lower Latourette
Families are welcome to sit in on any of their student’s classes. You will be amazed at what your
students are learning!
12:30-5:00: Hospitality Room Open F/A/CG
Location: McGavran Hall—Admissions Suite
Feel free to stop in our Hospitality Room at any point during the afternoon. It will be a good
place to cool off, grab some refreshments, interact with staff/faculty and learn a bit about the
history of Providence.
1:30-4:00 Avodah to Huntington Gardens (Sign up in advance) F/A/CG
Location: Meet at the entrance to the Huntington Library. Rides will be available upon request for those
without their own transportation.
Have you ever wondered what really happens on an Avodah? Experience an Avodah first hand,
led by Max Belz and President Jim Belcher. They will lead you on a trip to the Huntington
Library, Gardens and Museum—a Pasadena spot you won’t want to miss! Please note that to
allow us to adequately plan and run this trip we will need you to sign up in advance for this trip
and pre-pay the discounted price of admission at $15 per person.
5:00pm Dinner F/A/CG
Location: Pasadena!
If you’d like to join a student for dinner in the dining hall this evening please feel free to do so.
However—we’d like to suggest that you explore the great city that is Pasadena and take your
student and their friends who may not have family in town out for dinner. Restaurant
suggestion sheets will be available in the hospitality room.
7:00pm Volleyball Homecoming Game F/A/CG
Location: Victory Park
Cheer on the Volleyball Team as they take on Life Pacific College on our home court. Don’t
forget—true Sea Beggar fans wear orange and blue!
8:30 pm Post Game Refreshments F/A/CG
Location: Victory Gymnasium
Stick around post game—a unique Pasadena treat awaits your taste buds!
Saturday: October 17
10:00-12:00pm: Founders Brunch-- Special Invitation Only
Location: Franson Hall
This event will be open to past and present board members, faculty and staff as well as
our first four graduating classes. If you are a member of one of these groups, please join us as
we celebrate the past ten years and reflect on the faithfulness of God during this first chapter
in the history of Providence.
11:45am: SOCAL Tailgate F/A/CG
Location: North McGavran Lawn
Please join us for a pre-game tailgating lunch on campus hosted by student leaders and the
student life team. Food and drinks will be provided.
1:00pm: Homecoming Women’s Soccer Match F/A/CG
Location: Pasadena City College
Cheer on the Women’s Soccer team as they take on Bristol University on our home field. Once
again we ask that you wear your orange and blue!
3:00pm: Homecoming Men’s Soccer Match F/A/CG
Location: Pasadena City College
Stick around and cheer on the Men’s Soccer team as they also face Bristol University on the
home field.
4:30-5:30pm: Alumni Gathering (A)
Location: TBD
Alumni from all classes are welcome to join their fellow classmates for a pre-dinner social hour.
5:30-6:00pm—Campus Tour F/A/CG
Location: McGavran Front Lawn
Did you miss the first campus tour on Friday? Please join our admissions staff as they lead you
on a tour around our beautiful Pasadena Campus. We’d be honored to show you our home!
6:00-9:00pm—Community Celebration F/A/CG
Location: McGavran North Lawn
This is the celebration you and your family won’t want to miss. Anyone is welcome to join us
this evening as we celebrate our 10th Anniversary. There will be food trucks, games for children,
live music and a special program featuring students, staff and board members from over the
years. This evening will take place outdoors so please plan accordingly. If you have blankets or
lawn chairs you may want to bring them along as seating will be limited.
