Dear Friends,
The next edition of TBILISI INTERNATIONAL FESTIVAL OF THEATRE will take place in Tbilisi,
Georgia from September 25 to October 3, 2015 and after 4 successful years of the program
NEW we are opening up the doors to its 5 th edition!
Briefly about TBILISI INTERNATIONAL FESTIVAL and Program NEW
TBILISI INTERNATIONAL runs every year by the end of September, beginning of October and is one of
the major events in International life of Georgia and Black Sea Region.
The festival’s reputation has been built on the quality of its program, with the selected works of major
international directors and companies from all over the world. This was the frame for the Festival for
first two years since foundation. But in search of theatre and artists, that were beyond our focus and
knowledge, we decided to resize the frames, rethink the idea and as a result the Festival presented
program “NEW”, first in 2011.
“NEW" is very popular now. The wonderful works and artists from Israel, Poland, Lithuania, Argentina,
Romania, Germany, Finland, Russia, India, Denmark, Slovenia, South Korea, Azerbaijan made the idea of
NEW successful. For four years we hosted around 20 performances from these countries.
Several of them were really special to Georgian audience, among them were: Performance “Terminal”
(Iran Theater Workshop, Iran), Performance “Odysseus Chaoticus” (ISh Theatre, Israel), Performance
“Perhaps, Perhaps... Quizás” (Clown Me In, Mexico), Performance “Members of Our Limbs” (Kallo
Collective, FINLAND).
So, we announce the program every year with great anticipation of new works, discoveries and
possibilities for Festival and for Artists.

NEW! is for artists who want to take risks and challenge new audiences.
It is a voyage of discovery, an adventure for your artistic concepts
This is the fifth CALL with deadline of March 15, 2015.
CONDITIONS!
If your application is selected you will be a part of TBS INTERNATIONAL programme and
Festival provides following: Venue and technical support at the venue, ticket service, general
publicity, Per-diems of 25 USD per person per day; Accommodation; Airport transfers.
(The setup day and performance day will be appointed by the festival and it varies from 2 to 3
days, accommodation and per/diems is set accordingly)
Please take note that TBS international does not cover your travel costs and does not provide
an artistic fee and the final program is based on selection.

We prefer an online application. Please send in the application form together with a link of a
registration of your complete performance on vimeo or wetransfer and the requested
appendixes to: new@tbilisiinternational.com
The Deadline for this call for applications is March 15. The performances that are selected will
be announced by e-mail not later than April 2, 2015.
