RED CROSS FIRST AID COURSE – ROOM ONE
On Friday 12th June we were lucky enough to
have Bronwyn from Red Cross come and visit us
and teach Room 1 how to be first aiders.
Bronwyn taught us what actions we would
need to take if we found someone lying
unconscious on the ground, how to put the
casualty in the recovery position, how to
contact the emergency services and what
information we would need to give.
We learned how to bandage a wound and put a
sling on a broken arm and a bleeding arm. We
also learnt what to do when we have a nose
bleed, burns and get poisoned.
TRANSITION CLASSES
We also run 4 year old transition classes each Wednesday
morning in Room 3. So if you have, or know a 4 year old who
will be coming to our school soon, please contact the school to
advise us of this.
