AMERICAN EXPRESS
EVERGLADES FOREVER PHOTOGRAPHY CONTEST
As part of the American Express Everglades Forever project, the Museum of
Discovery and Science is looking for amateur photographers to participate in the
American Express Everglades Forever Photography Contest taking place
November 2, 2013, through January 1, 2014.
All you have to do is visit the Greater Everglades and take photographs of the
beautiful landscapes or nature scene, post your photos to Instagram and tag the
Museum of Discovery and Science @m0ds with the hash tag #evergladesphoto.
Some of the parks and preserves in the Greater Everglades include:
Everglades National Park
Big Cypress National Preserve
Collier-Seminole State Park
Loxahatchee National Wildlife Refuge
Ten Thousand Island National Wildlife Refuge
Florida Panther National Wildlife Refuge
Rookery Bay
Fakahatchee Strand State Preserve
Contest Rules:
 Contest submissions start November 2, 2013 through January 1, 2014
 Photographs must be taken within the Greater Everglades ecosystem.
 Photos must be in original format with no retouching.
 A maximum of three photographs per contestant may be submitted
 Contest is open to all ages.
 Submission deadline is January 1, 2014.
 Winners will be notified by January 31, 2014.
The First Place Winner will receive an Everglades Adventure Family Package in
addition to a Museum of Discovery and Science Annual Membership and a
Family Four Pack (4 IMAX and 4 exhibits passes.) Also, the winning photograph
will be published in the April 2014 issue of TravelHost Elite Magazine.
The Second Place runner up will receive a Museum of Discovery and Science
Annual Membership and a Family Four Pack (4 IMAX and 4 exhibit passes.)
The Third Place runner up will receive a Museum of Discovery and Science
Family Four Pack (4 IMAX and 4 exhibit passes.)
