Daily Mass Schedule – Today during 6th period.
School Ministry – Have you ever thought about being in the priesthood? Do you think the Lord
may be inviting you to consider the priesthood? St. Charles Seminary is holding a “Come and
See” Weekend Retreat November 8-10. This retreat is an opportunity for high school young
men who wish to know more about seminary life, priesthood and the steps to discerning a
priestly vocation. Hear from seminarians and priests how they awakened to their own call to

Guidance –
*M&T Bank After School Internship - M&T Bank is looking for a Roman junior or senior
interested in the field of finance. This is an after school paid internship at M&T Bank's Center
City offices at 117 S. 18th Street. They will need someone from the hours of 2-4 P.M. Please
only apply if you do not have an 8th period. See Sister Jane in Guidance for details
School Store – The School Store will be closed after 4th period today.
Chance Drive- A reminder that our annual RCHS Chance Drive Drawing will take place on Friday,
October 11th. Ticket stubs are due in the Financial Affairs Office TODAY, October 10th. The
Chance Drive is linked to the $170 student fundraising fee. If you have not yet brought your
chances back, please do so ASAP so you can take advantage of an opportunity to win one of our
3 prizes. There are also incentives for those students who sell above the required
$170. Chances and a letter from Father Flanagan were distributed to all students on the first
day of school. If you haven’t received your chances, or if you have a question regarding the
Chance Drive, please notify the Student Affairs Office immediately.
Homecoming Dance – The Homecoming Dance will be held on Saturday, October 19th. Tickets
are $30 per couple and include food and refreshments. Information Sheets and Permission
Forms for the Homecoming Dance are available in the Student Affairs Office. Permission Forms
must be completed by both student and guest then submitted to Mr. DiMartino for approval.
Once approved, tickets may be purchased in the Finance Office. Tickets must be purchased no
later than Tuesday, October, 15th.
ATTENTION FRESHMAN, SOPHOMORES and JUNIORS:
Underclassman yearbook portraits will be taken next week during all the lunch periods.
Portraits will be taken in the gym. Order forms were distributed in homerooms on
Wednesday. Students are asked to bring these order forms home and discuss with your
parents/guardians. Please return your order form with the money to the Lifetouch
representative next week at the time your portrait is taken.
- Freshman portraits will be taken on Monday, October 14.
- Sophomore portraits will be taken on Tuesday, October 15.
- Junior portraits will be taken on Thursday, October 17.
Students are reminded to ensure that your hair is neatly groomed and that you are
cleanly shaven. You will be required to have your portrait taken in your WINTER
UNIFORM. Please remember to wear shirt, tie, and sweater on the day that your
portraits are scheduled. Students are to cooperate with the directives of the Office
of Student Affairs and the lunch moderators regarding this matter. Otherwise, you
risk your picture not being placed in the yearbook.
Friday, October 18th will be used to take portraits of those who did not have their portrait
taken on their assigned day.
Attention all Business STARs:
If you were chosen as a Business STAR of the Month, please report directly to the
cafeteria TODAY after homeroom for the photo. You will be admitted late to 1st period.
Art Club – The Art Club will hold its first meeting TODAY after 8th period in the art room. Bring
your project ideas for the year ahead. All new members welcome!
World Affairs Club - The World Affairs Club will meet TODAY after 8th period in Room 46 to
plan the upcoming International Student Summit. All members and any interested students are
asked to attend.
Football - Varsity football practice will be held upstairs in the gym today at 3:15
Wrestling - It's not too late to join the wrestling team! Team lifts and workouts are Mondays,
Wednesdays and Fridays after school. If interested show up or e-mail Coach Gault
at wrestling@romancatholichs.net
Track & Field- Any student interested in participating in Indoor or Outdoor Track & Field are
encouraged to come to a general meeting in the cafeteria on Monday, October 14th, at 2:45
PM. Please plan to attend as Coach Ziegler will be taking sizes for new uniforms.
Room Changes –
Fr. Casey – 7th period to the classroom, 8th period dismissed.
Mr. Cunningham – 1st period to the cafeteria, 3rd, 5th, 6th and 7th period to the classroom.
Mr. Cameron – 2nd period to the cafeteria, 3rd, 4th and 7th period to the classroom, 8th period
dismissed with assignment.
