Oakcrest Farms LLC understands the need for new owners to be
assured that maiden brood mares can be bred and maintain a pregnancy thru the
risky 60day check so we at Oakcrest Farms LLC are introducing two innovative
options for the 2014 breeding season with Oakcrest investing the time for breeding
and care. We are proud of our mare’s bloodlines and are willing to invest with new
owners to prove the product.
Option One
Step one: Purchase an Oakcrest mare, the purchase monies will be held in escrow
until the mare checks in 60 days pregnant.
Step two: Select a breeding Stallion for your purchased mare, pay fees for stallion
and breeding expenses.
Step three: Wait for the 60 day check, during which you only pay for farrier and
vetting.
Step four: When the mare checks in at 60days, escrow monies will be paid and you
may either leave the mare at Oakcrest Farms paying board, farrier and vetting OR
ship the mare to new location.
Option Two
Step one: Lease an Oakcrest mare for the cost of mortality insurance for the term of
the lease.
Step two: Select a breeding Stallion for your leased mare; pay Stallion fees and 50%
of breeding expenses, Oakcrest will pay the other 50% of breeding expenses.
Step three: Until the last trimester pay only vetting and farrier expenses. Add board
fees beginning with the last trimester.
Step four: After weaning of foal, arrange shipping of your new baby.
