In its fourth year, Girls’ Group is an afterschool program, which meets once a
week that is designed to help individuals build confidence, foster positive
behaviors, and develop social skills. Each session includes group time, crafts
& horse time! The girls are having a great time with Jodi Johnson from
Greater Minnesota instructing the class!
Reinbows Reads!
Paving a New Way in Our Indoor Arena!
As the ground begins to thaw, we are getting excited to complete renovations
in our indoor area to add handicapped friendly pavers! These pavers will
allow guests and participants easier access to all of our activities in the arena.
This is a big step for Reinbows’ next endeavor of offering individuals with
disabilities the opportunity to enjoy our programming with the horses!
Thank you to the Robert and Helen Remick Charitable Foundation Trust for
helping us make this possible!
The Local Acre Up & Running This Spring!
Reinbows’ participants benefit from all the healthy food and fun activities
provided by The Local Acre! The kids enjoy watching the garden grow
and have fun planting their own flowers in a number of our programs.
Soon, the whole community will have a chance to enjoy some fresh
produce from The Local Acre, when the Farmers’ Market begins in June!
Alida wonders…“Was this really a fence?”
She’s glad the snow is gone now and spring is here!
Growing and getting ready for your table!
What a fun way to learn at Reinbows Reads!
Reinbows Reads is an afterschool-tutoring
program, which, meets twice a week at the
Windom Area High School Media Center.
Students are provided a welcoming
environment, supportive volunteer tutors,
and a snack at each session. Reinbows’
Reward Points are earned for attendance,
bringing homework, reading 20 minutes,
and good behavior. These points are then
used towards horse activities, which are
held at the Reinbows’ Barn! This is made
possible in part by a generous donation
from Maxine Walen and the help of many
volunteers, Thank you!
A big “THANKS” to everyone who stopped by our
booth to say “HOWDY” at the Farm & Home Show!
