Dear Parents of a rising kindergarten student,
We look forward to having you and your child join the Lacy family! It will be a busy and
exciting school year, and your visit today is a great start to the year ahead. All schools
will have the staggered K screening Aug. 24 – 27 and you child will only come on their
one assigned day for screening. (See the schedule on the back) Mark your calendar for
the Friday Aug. 28 Meet the Teacher for you and your child from 10:30 a.m. – 12:00 p.m.
The first full day for your kindergarteners will be Monday, August 31st from
8:20 am – 3:00 pm.

Staggered Kindergarten Screening
August 24 - 27th - 8:00-8:25 AM sign in. Pick up for walkers and carpool is at 1:30 PM.
If needed, walkers and carpool students can remain until 3:00 PM with bus students.
Our screening day is a busy day filled with activities and assessments so come well
rested. All students will have the opportunity to work with the Kindergarten staff in
each classroom.
Items to bring: Your child will need to bring a lunch or $ 2.00 for a cafeteria lunch.
They may be more comfortable in tennis shoes. Don’t forget any forms (shot records,
health assessment, etc.) that you may need turn in. Each student will only come just one
screening day and will not return until Meet the Teacher on August 28th.
