Checklist to Ensure You’re Ready to Start the Year!
To be completed by our first instructional class after our introduction.
1.
Add Mrs. Serafino, her email, & Remind number as a contact.
2. Sign up for Remind
3. Sign up for the Textbook
4. Sign up for both classes on Khan Academy
5. Get required / recommended class materials
6. Set your mobile device to receive your “work” (Ridgewood, gmail, Hotmail, etc) email account
through a mail program, and enable push or alert notifications when you get new mail.
7. Read through the Syllabus and my Policies & Procedures form (Under Algebra 2E → Class
Resources)
8. From your “work” email account, send an email to me with the following information.
Subject line of the email: Your full name (preferred name if applicable) & Our class period
Activities: The sports, clubs, or activities in which you participate in and out of RHS (please include
specifics, like JV/Varsity, Soprano/Alto, Babysitter for aunt/Waiter at Pancake House, etc).
Question: A question you didn’t have answered from our first day. If you don’t have a question, it
can be a comment or something you’d like me to know before we get started.
Quote: Your favorite inspirational quote or phrase that actually means something to you.
9. Complete the first homework assignment on prerequisite skills; check your answers on my website,
if they are posted.
