Registered Nurses International (RNI) is a UK based charity organization consisted of members who are
professional nurses, nurse students as well as nursing schools and college. Registered Nurses International is
envisioned to “providing primary health care and support to the needy population worldwide”. Since its
establishment in 1985, RNI is currently operating in 43 countries worldwide, and its owns about 5
pharmaceutical companies, 3 Nursing and Midwife Colleges in UK, USA and South Africa respectively. Also
RNI owns and operate 6 foster houses for widows, elder and orphan children in UK, USA and South
Africa. RNI only works with registered nurse and midwife members from different host countries in
implementing its projects.
Registered Nurses International (RNI), is registered in Tanzania as a health service partner and nongovernment organization by the Ministry of Community Development, Gender and Children with Reg No:
00NGO093939, also RNI is registered by the Ministry of Health and Social Welfare with Registration
Number 87589. RNI operates in various areas of operation such as Offering Job agency services to nurses
and midwifes, Community Health Nurse, Nursing Researcher, Registered Psychiatric Nurse (R.P.N.),
Occupational Health Nurse, Critical Care Nurse, Private Duty Nurse, Emergency Nurse, Clinical Nurse,
Intensive Care Nurse, Nurse Researcher, Nursing Consultant.

Project Title: AMANI Health Project
Job Title: Registered Community Health Nurse
Job Positions: 25 Nurses
Job Location: Referral Hospitals in Zanzibar, Arusha, Morogoro, Mbeya, Tabora and Mwanza (Tanzania)
Job Contract: 2 Years (Renewable Terms)
Job Salary: Tshs 1300,000/= per month
Registered Community Health Nurse Job Purpose: Promotes and restores patients' health and peace of
mind by improving the nursing process in their designated job stations; collaborating with physicians and
multidisciplinary team members; providing physical and psychological support to patients, friends, and
families
Job Description: Registered Community Health Nurse under AMANI Health Project
Statement of duties: Under the general supervision of a Physician, provides professional nursing care for
clinic patients following established standards and practices.
Duties include:


Performing general nursing care to patients in their assigned job stations/hospitals;
Preparing equipment and ensuring examination rooms are clean and stocked with required
supplies and materials

Greeting patients and preparing them for physician examination. Screening patients for
appropriate information and instructing them in collection of samples and tests;
Aiding physician as required during treatment, examination and testing of patients;
Administering prescribed medications and treatments in accordance with nursing standards
Updating physician's schedule books for meetings, OR Bookings, OPD Bookings and other related
appointment information
Maintaining and reviewing patient records, charts and other pertinent information
Maintaining patient confidentiality.
Responding to telephone enquiries relating to patients, lab requests, x-rays, prescription requests,
etc.
Co-ordinating appointments for specialist referrals, x-rays lab testing, etc and conveying pertinent
instructions and information to the patient
Completing and co-coordinating encounter forms and day sheets.
Collecting and sorting of patient mail and sick documents
Requesting and transferring of patient records; and
Performing other related duties within the clinic as may be assigned
Skills/Qualifications:






Clinical Skills, Bedside Manner, Infection Control, Nursing Skills, Physiological Knowledge,
Administering Medication, Medical Teamwork, Multi-tasking, Good Listening and Verbal
Communication
Applicants must possess a certificate or diploma in clinical officer, nursing, or medicine from a
recognized learning institution
Applicants with degree in nursing and or midwife are encouraged to apply

Registered Private Duty Nurse Job Purpose: Majority of elders, and children found in foster/orphanage
centers do not have access to better and quality health services. Registered nurses international through the
project “Peaceful/Amani Health Services Project” which is implemented worldwide is aimed in ensuring
that all population in need of health services have access to better, quality and peaceful health services
possible.
