Detailed Duties:








Contribute to the success of the projects by working effectively in team environment with Geology,
Geophysics and other engineering disciplines.
Conduct full field simulation studies for gas and oil fields development including sensitivity analysis for
uncertain variables to study the economic feasibility of the projects for the reservoir and surface facilities.
Optimize the production of the fields to cope with the concession contract terms.
Conduct full field simulation studies to determine optimum methods of oil recovery and reservoir
management or respond to changes in well/reservoir performance. Review study objectives with all
involved team members to establish study parameters such as test and data required and review
progress and modify acquisitions as necessary.
Direct and participate in well surveillance activities and reservoir behavior prediction. Establish test and
production objectives for each well and ensure proper surveillance and well-file completion.
Recommend reservoir areas and program features for pilot studies of various oil recovery enhancement
techniques. Includes presenting fully justified proposals for field trials of various techniques, such as
water or gas injection methods, acid fractures or additional performance. Monitor results over scheduled
trial life and report findings and recommendations to other team members outlining estimated impact of
enhancement on the field or reservoir.
Optimize the well pattern layouts, development sequences and well placement.
Pressure transient test design, implementation and analysis for both of single well and multi-wells testing
in addition to HPHT gas wells.

Detailed Duties:












Organize and build complete OFM database.
Responsible for Reserves booking process (stand alone and coordinator with third party) including
evaluation, documentation, presentation, and reporting steps.
Analyze surface and subsurface field data to obtain key reservoir / well performance parameters.
Generate risked OOIP, production profiles, recoverable volumes for reservoir management.
Build analytical tank models for OOIP calculations and reservoir performance predictions.
Generate production forecast per well/field using conventional and advanced decline curve analysis
approaches.
Liaison with external partners and regulatory agencies. Support regulatory process including technical
justifications to the regulator and offsetting operators.
Prepare PVT proposal studies and sampling programs.
Put SCAL programs and analyze the SCAL data or predict it using Corey correlations.
Plan, Supervise & Analyze the RFT & MDT log pressure data points to define the fluid contacts, reservoir
pressure, fluid gradients and fluid motilities.
Recommend PLT jobs to calculate the production contribution per each perforated interval to help having
better reservoir management and recommendations such as re-perforation, isolation, recompletion,….etc.
Recommend and justify the drilling/deepening development wells, production tests, wells recompletions,
stimulation and artificial lift installation, upgrading or downgrading.

Detailed Duties:





Served as a member of technical consultation team based in Cairo and participated in number of
integrated reservoir studies for gas fields for different companies around the globe.
Performed Full field analytical models (Surface and Subsurface) for gas fields in the Nile delta of Egypt
and Mediterranean Sea.
Designed, supervised and interpreted DST (Drill Stem Tests) for HPHT gas wells
Participated in building complete surface and subsurface analytical models for the following gas fields:
 Nile delta: El Wastani, Gelgel, Abu Monkar Fields.
 Mediterranean: El Temsah Field.
 Western desert El Obaiyed and Bed-3 Fields.
Looked after activities pertaining to:
 PVT data validation, correction, interpretation and modeling.
 Routine and special core analysis.
 Rock typing using core and log data integration.
 Saturation height modeling using different functions
 Reserves booking, conventional reservoir engineering analysis, and montcarlo simulation.
Project Participations




Gave technical support in reservoir management and reservoir simulation aspects in one of the biggest
fields in Ecuador – Latin America, operated by Sipetrol.
Participated in the evaluation of the EGPC bid rounds and any other available opportunity to make full
prospect / field evaluation using stochastic and deterministic approaches.
Built complete OFM database for all fields operated by Sipetrol in Egypt.
Performed full field dynamic simulation studies and complete development plans for the following fields:
 Rommana Field: Sinai, Rommana Block, Sandstone, single reservoir. The objective was to present
conceptual high level field development plan with sensitivity analysis results to develop the field
and select the proper sizing of the gas plant and necessary facilities to be used as input for the
economics of the project.
 Ferduas Field: Western Desert, North Bahariya Block, Sandstone, 3 reservoirs, 11 producing wells.
Objective was to check the possibility of drilling additional wells under depletion and design
complete pilot water injection project.
 Ganna Field: Western Desert, North Bahariya Block, Sandstone, 3 reservoirs, 2 producing wells.
Objective was to check the possibility of drilling additional wells under depletion and predict the
incremental recovery increase in case of water injection.
 El Diyur Field: Western Desert, El Diyur Block, Sandstone, 3 reservoirs, 6 producing wells.
Objective was to check the possibility of drilling additional wells under depletion and predict the
incremental recovery increase in case of water injection where The crude viscosity was 60 CP @
bottom hole conditions.
 Shahd Field: Western Desert, East Ras Qattara (ERQ) Block, Sandstone, 1 reservoir, 1 producing
well. Objective was to confirm the calculated hydrocarbon volume and propose optimum number
of wells to be drilled to increase the field Recovery Factor
 Ghard Field: Western Desert, East Ras Qattara (ERQ) Block, Sandstone, 1 reservoir, 1 producing
well. Objective was to confirm the calculated hydrocarbon volume and propose optimum number
of wells to be drilled to increase the field Recovery Factor.
 Rana Field: Western Desert, East Ras Qattara (ERQ) Block, Sandstone, 2 reservoirs, 2 producing
wells. Objective was to confirm the calculated hydrocarbon volume and propose optimum number
of wells to be drilled to increase the field Recovery Factor.
 Shahd-SE Field: Western Desert, East Ras Qattara (ERQ) Block, Sandstone, 2 reservoirs, 8
producing wells. Objective was to confirm the calculated hydrocarbon volume, propose optimum
number of wells to be drilled to increase the field Recovery Factor and to optimize the completion

strategy the proposed wells (single zone vs two zones separate back to back vs commingled
completion). Also, to evaluate technically the effect of water flooding implementation to increase
the recovery factor of the field
