Over recent years the Bunyip Cross Country course has experienced improvements with additional and rebuilding of
jumps for all levels. All Dressage tests conducted on all weather sand arenas. Full canteen facilities available from 7am.
Cross Country course will be open for walking on Saturday 16th April, 2016 from 2pm to 4pm. Gates open from 6.00am
Sunday morning. Dressage tests – 60 x 20m arenas for grade(s) 1 to 3, 40 x 20 arenas for grade(s) 4 & 5
Entries Close: Wednesday April 7th Midnight (or before if entry limit reached)

Current PCAV Horse Trials and Gear check rules (January 1 2015).
Entry fee is $65.00 per entry, (includes $2.00 WGZ fee).
Before riding:
All open competitors must sign PCAV Liability Declaration
Form 2015/16 and complete Every Day Participant section
If a current pony club card cannot be presented you must
pay the $10 fee and complete Day Participant Waiver 201516 section
PCAV club member cards will be inspected at the
secretary’s office.
4. Open riders who cannot show proof of membership of PCAV,
EA, AHSA, AERA,HRCAV insurance must complete the PCAV
Liability Declaration Form 2015-16 both sections of form and
pay $10 per day. Forms are located on
www.ponyclubvic.org.au.
5. All open riders pay a refundable deposit on the day of $5.00 for
body number.
6. Body numbers must be used for ALL phases. Body numbers will be
supplied at the event. Long hair must be tied back so that body
number is not obscured.
7. Helmets must be worn and comply with PCAV Gear rules. Spot
checks may occur and incorrect helmets will mean elimination.
8. Entering this competition constitutes acknowledgement that the
PCAV rules apply and acceptance of these rules.
9. Competitors may ride more than one horse, subject to the condition
of PCAV Handbook of Bylaws Multiple Horse rules. Please indicate
entry order of preference as multiple horses only allowed if numbers
permit.
10. Medical armbands must be worn by all competitors in all phases.
11. Competitors must present to gear check at least 20 minutes
prior to each phase.
12. No refunds after closing date except with veterinary or medical
certificate. An admin fee of $25 will be deducted, (certificate to be
supplied within 7 days) via email kslade@eventsecretary.org.au.
13. SUPPLYING A VOLUNTEER IS A CONDITION OF ENTRY, (XC JUDGE) Firstly,
thank you volunteering. This is a very large Event and your help is very
much appreciated. Due to the amount of riders, all riders are required to
provide one helper during the course of the event. Duty will cover Cross
Country jumps judges. Please nominate the volunteer persons’ name on
your entry form.
Riders not supplying a volunteer will NOT be guaranteed a
ride
There will be a compulsory Cross Country Jump Judge briefing
(Time TBA) at the event.
14. The organising committee reserves the right to cancel any class or
competition; divide any class, alter times, refuse any entry with or
without stating the reason.
15. Riders under 8yrs may not compete.
16. If any equal placing occurs the PCAV Handbook for “Separating
Equality of Scores” will be applied.
17. Awards will not be posted out to winners.
18. Dogs & pets are prohibited without exception and could incur
owner/rider elimination.
19. Queries, protests, horse abuse rules as per the related PCAV rules.
20. Media and Digital Publication Consent, PCAV members/ families
that are involved or attending this event may be photographed by
official photographers. There are also times when local press is
invited to cover particular events. Digital images are also used in
newsletters, flyers, websites and other promotional activities.
21. Neither the organising committee of this competition nor the BPC or
PCAV accepts any responsibility whatsoever for any accident,
damage, injury or illness to horses, riders, ground spectators or any
other person or property whatsoever.

Health of Horse(s) – I declare that the horse listed on this entry
will be in good health, eating normally and not showing signs of
respiratory disease during the last 3 days leading up to this
event. I give my authorisation for the Event Secretary to call for
veterinary inspection of the horse(s) named above and any in
my care should they be showing signs of respiratory illness at
any time during the course of the event. I agree to pay any
veterinary fees incurred as a result if this veterinary
examination.
Horse Event Declaration Wavier - I understand that due to
diseases such as equine influenza, the Victorian Department of
Primary Industries, or other State or Commonwealth
government body, may restrict or prevent the movement of
horses, vehicles and personnel for a period of time
(“Standstill”). I acknowledge and agree that a Standstill is a risk
of competing at this event and I agree to pay all costs or
expenses as a result of a Standstill.
23. Lunging is not permitted.
24. PCAV Alcohol Policy applies.

No stallions, colts or rigs allowed.
