BISI CAREER FAIR COMING SOON!

The decision what career to choose is often very difficult for the students. It impacts what subjects to take in
IGCSE and IB. Many of them struggle with this process as they don’t know yet in what direction their future will
go. Parents find themselves in a difficult position as they want to support the decision process but usually lack
knowledge about the different career options and what subjects are required for them.
In an on-going effort to continue to strengthen our support for BISI students, the PTA Curriculum Committee is
working with BISI Key Stage Coordinators 4&5 (John and Joy Bosman) to introduce for the first time a Career
Fair for our Year 10, 11, 12 and 13 students.
On Friday March 16th, we are dedicating a full day of career presentations including:

Parent Career Talks – where BISI parent guest speakers share their experience and diverse
career paths in fields such as medicine, law, engineering, business, journalism, hotel
management, programming, psychology and diplomacy to name a few. We are happy to have
enrolled professional parents from various international organizations and successful local
companies.
Interactive Team Building Session with students, on a case study to better understand their
own personal characteristic traits, which will be facilitated by Joy Bosman and former KLM
Human Resources Manager, Emilie Terstegge-Nuyens
Dynamic Information Session on “Get Ready for Your Future”, with guest speaker Lennard
Boogaard from Unilever. Furthermore, our students will be directed towards the many resources
available to them at the school and on line by John Bosman.
All parents are welcome to attend this informative session on “Get Ready for Your Future” which begins at
1:50pm in the Zekeriyaköy school Campus auditorium.
