PASS Board Nominations Application 2014
The PASS Board of Directors will accept nominations for the 2014 Elections from August 6, 2014, until
August 19, 2014, at noon US Pacific time. These elections will determine the new Directors for the
2015/2016 term. The role of a Board of Director requires significant bandwidth beyond the typical
commitment made by PASS volunteers and members.
The PASS Board of Directors is responsible for the day-to-day activities of the organization, as well as
setting the course for the organization on short and long term decisions. Our mission is to empower data
professionals leveraging Microsoft technologies to connect, share, and learn through networking,
knowledge sharing, and peer-based learning.
Please carefully read and fill out the application form. Please review key dates and other requirements
and timelines contained within the PASS Board Elections overview document. Applications must be
returned to Governance at PASS HQ (janice.simpson@sqlpass.org) by August 19, 2014, at noon US
Pacific time. Part Nine of this application outlines electronic signature instructions. If you do not receive
an email indicating the acceptance of your application within 24 hours, please contact PASS HQ.
Thank you for applying, and good luck!
Key Dates:
Interviews
Applicants must be available from August 26 to September 11, 2014 for interviews. Each selected
applicant will have one, which will last approximately 1 hour. Applicants will be notified if they are moving

Applicant Opt-Out
Applicants will be ranked by the Nomination Committee from 1 to N. The ranking number of each
candidate, including those who do not make the slate, will be made public. Applicants may choose to
drop out of the process and have their ranking remain unpublished. Applicants will be sent their individual
ranking on September 15, 2014. If you wish to opt-out, you must do so by contacting Governance at
PASS HQ (janice.simpson@sqlpass.org) by noon US Pacific time on September 16, 2014.
