12:30-12:35 C.Park mentioned that CTE Chairs should check in the library for the
list of books that may be purchased for their programs

Kiran reviewed the past 20/20 workshops at LMC i.e. Road less
traveled, certificates count, effective workforce collaboration,
effective community collaboration and strategic planning.
WHAT WORKED FOR YOU WAS THE QUESTION AY HAND
Reactions were that these workshops 1. Solidified relationships, 2.
Allowed Brain storming, 3.looked at stackable certificates,
4.focused on specific problems,
5. Created definitions and objectives, 7.allowed for sharing
objectives with other LMC committees, 8. Built a Listing of “What
external partners expect of new hires”
C. McGrath mentioned that the GE committee is working on a
similar plan or initiative…..Short discussion on other committees
working on similar type plans. CTE committee voted in favor of
conducting ½ day workshop in March to look at “ Where do you see
your program in 3 years “

Kiran discussed that the curriculum committee will establish a
process that may allow students to challenge a course by taking a
department prepared final comprehensive exam which has been
pre-approved by the Curriculum committee --- more to follow
