DESCRIPTION: This is Course Part A, a Technical Session, which provides an overview of unconventional hydrocarbon (gas-shale) exploration and production in Kentucky. Guest speaker topics include property leasing and legal considerations, well permitting and regulatory aspects, deep subsurface plays, geosteering methods and applications, and down-hole geophysical logging techniques. A session on the petrology and stratigraphy of representative source and reservoir rocks and a hands-on review of core samples will be included.
Attendees will receive a certificate for six (6) Professional Development Hours, a printed copy of the
Technical Session Program and Abstracts, and a catered BBQ lunch with snacks and refreshments.

All cancellations postmarked by March 31, 2015 will receive a REFUND minus a 15 percent administrative fee.
