La Leche League of New Orleans has been reactivated! LLL meets at ZukaBaby the first Tuesday of each month at 7pm and the third Monday at 9am. Meetings are open to all women interested in breastfeeding and are a chance to learn more, get questions answered, receive help, and benefit from community with other breastfeeding mothers. La Leche League Leaders are experienced mothers who have breastfed their own babies and who have been trained and accredited by La Leche League International to help mothers and mothers-to-be with all aspects of breastfeeding. Keeping Babies & Kids Healthy with Essential Oils – Wednesday, June 12 th at 6:30pm to 7:30pm, ZukaBaby
Would you like to learn how to take charge of your family’s health? Come learn about safe, natural, and effective ways to treat the top health concerns of newborns, toddlers, and children. We will discuss essential oil applications for your specific needs and and all of the ways they can be met using doTERRA essential oils and wellness products. We will teach you how to safely apply them aromatically, topically, and even internally to every member of your family. Cleaning with homemade all natural, plant based, chemical free cleaners (that will also save you money) will also be discussed.
Nutrition for Moms – Thursday, June 13 th at 6:30pm to 8:00pm at ZukaBaby
Taught by ZukaBaby owner Erin Reho Pelias focusing on topics such as, where to start when converting to a healthier lifestyle, making healthy foods work on a budget, healthy lunches, cooking with kids, feeding babies and more. This class is a way for moms to take time out for themselves and to learn new tricks and skills to improve their health and make a huge difference in their family. Erin is a certified Holistic Health Counselor, dancer, food enthusiast and avid community gardener. Registration is required by calling 504-596-6540.

CPR for Children and Infants – Wednesday, June 5 th at 6:30pm to 8:30pm at ZukaBaby
Family and Friends CPR teaches the basic technique of CPR, AED use, and relief of choking for an adult, child and infant. It is perfect for new parents, grandparents, sitters and anyone who does not desire an official certification card. Each participant will receive a handbook and certificate of completion. The course uses guidelines created by the American Heart Association. Limit 8 people. Class is $40. Please call Nurse Nikki to register 504-535-4913.
