Complete ALL labs. A minimum of 1200 hands-on lab minutes must be completed and
accepted with a passing grade by the instructor for entrance to the June Regents Exam.
Labs must be completed in the classroom during lab or if necessary, after school. Labs cannot
be taken home or completed elsewhere.
Work with your assigned lab partner. The lab partner changes will occur at the end of each
quarter.
Follow the safety rules discussed and agreed upon in the lab safety contract. Failure to follow
the rules may result in injury to you, a classmate or other living thing. ANY inappropriate
behavior may dismiss you from the lab.
Grading:
1. Labs will be due 2 weeks after the procedure part of the lab has been completed. These due
dates will be posted on the board in the classroom. You will be given time to complete the lab
write- ups in class. If you do not finish in the allotted time, you may need to stay after school.
2. Any lab earning less than a passing grade will be returned to you for corrections. Those labs
must be redone and resubmitted until they earn a passing grade to count toward the lab
minutes required for the Regents Exam.
3. Labs turned in late will lose 50% of the earned grade. Labs not turned in will receive a 0 and
there will be no minutes allotted for that lab toward the Regents Exam requirement.
4. FAILURE TO COMPLETE LABS MAY RESULT IN A STUDENT NOT BEING ABLE TO TAKE THE
REGENTS EXAM IN JUNE!!
