The course will be designed according to the student’s needs
and preferences. The aim is to encourage students to use
advanced vocabulary in a variety of situations and to actively
respond to sophisticated oral and written material.





Material provided by the tutor.
By the end of the year, regularly participating students are expected to have
reached Common European Framework Level B2, i.e.:
Can understand the main ideas of complex text on both concrete and abstract topics, including
technical discussions in his/her field of specialisation. Can interact with a degree of fluency and
spontaneity that makes regular interaction with native speakers quite possible without strain for
either party. Can produce clear, detailed text on a wide range of subjects and explain a viewpoint
on a topical issue giving the advantages and disadvantages of various options.
Students should also be able to sit the exam for the Certificate of Attainment in
Greek (Πιστοποιητικό Ελληνομάθειας), Level B2, acknowledged by the European
Council and awarded by the Greek State.
