We will practice daily to
completely review proper
formation and connection
of all cursive letters, during
this 1st nine-weeks.
How Will Students be
Graded? Penmanship
grades will be somewhat
individualized; during the
1st Nine-Weeks, students
will be graded according to
their:
1. ability to correctly form
and connect all cursive
letters (weekly test)
2. individual progress and
improvement with the
following “good
penmanship” traits
 uniform size
 uniform slant
 uniform spacing
Penmanship Portfolios!
Students will enjoy seeing
how their handwriting
improves this year, by
keeping a portfolio. They
will be able to choose their
best handwriting pieces to
include, and be able to
evaluate their own personal
progress.
