Los Angeles, Calif. -- August 19, 2014 -- Now a yearly tradition, the seventh annual
Digital Family Reunion, Southern California’s most vibrant gathering of technology
and digital media industry leaders, issues a “Call for Participation” as it returns to the
Skirball Cultural Center on December 10, and again partners with socalTECH.com to
celebrate the socalTECH 50.
Working to build community throughout the region, DFR invites professionals from
across the spectrum of technology and business to get involved in the following
ways:
- Nominate an executive for the socalTECH 50;

This is the second year of honoring the SoCalTECH 50 and nominations are now
being accepted at www.SoCalTECH.com. The socalTECH 50 list recognizes the
influential visionaries, entrepreneurs and others throughout the region who are most
likely to create the next breakout company, technological leap, or otherwise

peers, the list will be announced in mid-November and the Digital Family Reunion
will honor them in person on the night of December 10. Nominations can be
submitted through https://www.surveymonkey.com/s/2014socaltech50.
“The Digital Family Reunion is a perfect platform from which to introduce the socalTECH
50 to the industry,” said Benjamin Kuo, founder of socalTECH.com. “This is becoming
one of the most anticipated events of the year because it connects so many aspects of
our thriving technology economy in the Southern California region.
Companies are also invited to participate through sponsorship of the Digital Family
Reunion. With extensive industry outreach prior to and during the event, sponsorship
is a fantastic way to enhance brand image in the Southern California technology and
digital media industries. Sponsorship and media partnerships for are available by
contacting Rachel Horning at digitalfamilyreunion@gmail.com.
Each year more than 50 community partner organizations collaborate with Digital
Family Reunion to extend an invitation to the event to their members, resulting in a
unifying event like no other in Los Angeles. Organizational participation can be
arranged by contacting Tracy Bagatelle-Black at tracy@bagatelleblack.com.
In addition to the socalTECH 50, each year the DFR bestows the Outstanding
Achievement Honor on an entrepreneur whose extraordinary personal success has
contributed meaningfully to the local digital economy. Former recipients of the honor
