Parking is available in the lot and on the baseball fields behind the facility. Indoor
6-lane 25-yard pool with Competitor non-turbulent lane lines. Limited bleacher
seating is available. Spectators may bring chairs to use on the outside patio. All
other areas will be considered the deck, on which only swimmers, officials,
coaches and meet personnel are allowed. Coolers are not permitted in the facility.
The water depth of the competition course is 9-11 feet measured from one (1)
meter to five (5) meters at the starting end of the course and 3-3.5 feet measured
from one (1) meter to five (5) meters at the turn end of the course). The warm
up/warm down area is a 15 yard x one lane pool located behind the bulkhead. The
competition course has not been certified in accordance with 104.2.2C(4).
Rules:
Meet to be conducted in accordance with the current USA Swimming and SC
Swimming Rules and Regulations and information herein. The Meet Director
reserves the right to adjust the warm-up times & start times.
Athlete
Eligibility:
Eligible teams within the circuit include Southern Marlins Racing Team (SMRT),
Mt. Pleasant Swim Club (MPSC), Coastal Aquatic Club (CAC) and Myrtle Beach
Riptides (MBR). Any and all swimmers may not swim in events for which they
have a short course 11-12 state cut.
Athlete age up date is January 7, 2012.
Any swimmer entered in the meet, unaccompanied by a USA Swimming member
coach must be certified by a USA Swimming member coach as being proficient in
performing a racing start or must start each race from within the water. It is the
responsibility of the swimmer or the swimmer’s legal guardian to ensure
compliance with this requirement.

Entry Fees:
Entry Fee $20.00 per swimmer ($16.00 Pool Fee + $2.00 SCLSC Travel
Fund/Program Fee + $2.00 SCLSC Sports Development Fee). Make checks
payable to ABC of SMRT. Entry fees are non-refundable. The Clerk of Course
will accept entries, on the deck, for lanes available only and time permitting.
Payment for all deck entries is due before the end of warm-ups to Clerk of Course.
Athletes may enter up to 4 individual events
Meet Format:
All events will be contested as Timed Finals. The entry limit for this meet is the
first 150 swimmers.
Time of Meet:
Warm-up: 11:00 a.m.
Timed Finals: 12:30 p.m.
Entries:
HY-TEK Meet Manager software will be used. Please submit entries in
HY-TEK TEAM MANAGER format. Please include printout of each swimmer’s
entries to be used as a back up. Include first name, middle initial and last name;
age; USAS number; seedtimes. Also include the signed and dated release form and
summary found attached to this announcement.
Entries are due by December 31, 2011.
SC Swimming does not accept deck registrations, all swimmers entered must be
registered at time of entry deadline.

Ribbons will be awarded to swimmers who earn new “best times”.
No Scoring
Colorado electronic timing system, provided by ABC of SMRT, with touch pads
& plungers, will be used. Stop watches will also be used.
Coaches must be coach members of USA Swimming and they must have their
credentials visible at all times. Coaches meeting will be announced via email prior
to meet.

I acknowledge that I am familiar with the safety rules of USA Swimming and SC
Swimming regarding warm-up procedures and that I shall be responsible for the
compliance of my swimmers with those rules during this meet.
In granting this sanction it is understood and agreed that USA Swimming, SC
Swimming, City of Charleston and the Southern Marlins Racing Team shall be free from
any liabilities or claims for damages arising by reason of injuries to anyone during the
conduct of the event.
