Dear Parents/Guardians
Firstly welcome back, I hope that you had a wonderful summer despite the usual British weather!! The
children have all returned looking very smart in their uniforms.
I would like to especially welcome our new year 3 parents we hope that over the next four years we are
able to work alongside you and your child to ensure that not only are they making good progress but
that they are happy and enjoying school.
Here are just a few reminders.
Swimming
Starts Wednesday 10th September for children in year 3- 5. It costs £1.00 per week or £10.00 for the
term.
Dinners
Dinners cost £2.00 per day. Please note that dinners do need to be ordered in advance on the Monday,
this ensures that the cook is able to order enough food in advance.
Next week we will be sending home a dates list and after school clubs information.
We also need parents to help support the PTA. This group meets every couple of weeks and helps
organise many of our school events. They usually meet on Wednesday mornings. If you could offer
support please contact the school and speak to Mrs Allen.
This year Mrs Wedgewood has taken on the role of Parent Support, if you feel that you are having any
difficulties and need some support or advice please contact Mrs Wedgewood who will arrange a
meeting.
We also are able to offer SERIS (Social and Emotional Resilience in School) this is provided by Mrs
Wright and is for children who the school or parents may feel need a little more emotional support. The
school also employs a Counsellor one day a week.
If your child has any medical condition and requires medication could you please contact Mrs Jamieson
or Mrs Chris Jackson STA
School continues to run an open door policy, an appointment is not always required if you wish to
speak to myself or a member of staff. If there are any issues please do come in to discuss them.
I would also like to remind parents that the school web site is regularly updated and you can also
follow us on twitter.
Kind regards
Mrs Sue Jackson Head
