Introduction
Please type or insert your abstract into this template to replace the instructions, using
Microsoft Word. The format of the abstract (template) is described and illustrated here.
Please do not modify page header, paper size and margins (A4 - 21.0 cm x 29.7 cm; 2.5 cm
margin on all sides). Each abstract is limited to two pages in the symposium proceedings.
Center the title, author list, institutions, and email address of the corresponding author. Use
letter superscripts to identify institutions with authors.
Use this section to introduce the overall (clinical) relevance, sum up current research and open
questions, clearly state your specific research question (or aim).
Materials and Methods
Use Times New Roman font: 12-point (line spacing: 1.2 fold) for standard text, 14-point bold
for the title, 12-point italic for Authors, 10-point for institutions, and 10-point for the

Abstracts must be received by March 24, 2013. A notification of acceptance will be sent to
the corresponding author by March 29, 2013. The presenting author must also register for
attending the symposium.
Briefly describe the used (developed) methods in this section.
Results
Final abstracts should be converted to PDF file format and submitted attached to an email to
the CBU conference office <cbu.office@uni-ulm.de>. For file conversion a free PDF
converter such as PDF24 [2] may be used. The PDF file must have all fonts embedded.
Authors are kindly requested to check their abstract carefully before submission and also
verify that all fonts are embedded via the following procedure: Open the PDF file in Adobe
Reader. In the File menu select Properties. In the Document Properties dialog box, click on
the Fonts tab. On the Fonts tab, the words Embedded or Embedded Subset must appear next
to each font.
Give the most important results that support answering the stated research question.
Discussion
The abstract, if approved for presentation, will be published as submitted. Submission of an
abstract acknowledges the author's acceptance for the abstract to be published in open access
symposium proceedings.
Chapter Discussion should include an answer to the research question, discussion of
verification, validation, and limitations of the methods, (clinical) relevance of the results.
Acknowledgments
Acknowledgments might be stated here.
