Peabody Fellows Program: Climate Change and Emerging Infections

Memorandum of Agreement for School Principal
The Peabody Museum has received a Science Education Partnership Award from the National Institutes
of Health to develop modular curriculum resources about climate change and emerging infectious
diseases such as malaria, dengue fever and leishmaniasis.
Middle and high school science teachers are needed to pilot STEM curriculum lessons based on state
and national standards.
I understand that _____________________________________________________ has applied as a
Peabody Fellows teacher for the 2013-14 school year.
If s/he is accepted into the program, I understand and support the following important information
regarding requirements:
1. Attendance at one-week summer institute: July 8-12, 2013.
2. Implementation of new curriculum lessons on Climate Change and Emerging Infections during
2013-14, without interfering with preparation or administration of mandatory testing. Materials
will be provided by the Peabody Fellows Program.
