What I like about this College:
 “University of Georgia is a public institution that was founded in 1785” PR
 “It has a total undergraduate enrollment of 26,278, its setting is urban, and the campus size is 759
acres.” PR
 “The school is known for its vibrant student community. UGA’s college town of Athens was rated
among the best college towns in the country by U.S. News” PR

“Challenging, but not unreasonably so. I feel like I really am learning a lot here, but it doesn't
always come easy (not to say that it should.)” CN

“I love my majors and my teachers are incredible. They are more than happy to help students learn
and grow.” CN

“The academics offered at this university vary immensely. There are so many classes offered, some
are obviously easier than others. ratemyprofessor is a definite must because your professor really
makes the world of difference and that difference can be a letter grade. The work load is more than
most colleges and the classes are more challenging but it is all worth it.” CN
 “Most of the teachers are great. Registration is difficult right now because they switched systems.”
CN

“The factor that attracted me to Athens is how beautiful the city and campus is. There are big,
beautiful trees everywhere and the architecture is exquisite. During the holiday season, the trees are
covered in twinkly lights, making me feel like I'm in a southern fairy tale. In addition, dining and
nightlife are the center of Athens culture. Barberito's, a southwestern restaurant, was founded in the
area, as well as many others.” CN

“Athens provides countless restaurants and entertainment both during the day and at night. I am
able to walk just downtown and see a movie, concert or play followed by dinner at a variety of
choices. Great options for all personalities.” CN

 “UGA PD is very vigilant at UGA. I have never once had a second thought about my safety on
campus or downtown.” CN
 “Overall, UGA students feel safe on campus about 99 percent of the time. “ CN
 “Alcohol is going to be present on any college campus, but the University Police Department does a
very good job controlling it.” CN

What I don’t like about this College:
 “out-of-state tuition and fees are $29,046 “ PR
 “Most professors don't care about their students. The chem department is one such case: they're on
academic probation. You'd be hard pressed to find a generous teacher. But they do exist.” CN
 “Rapes have occurred on campus which makes me nervous. There needs to be an escort service to
help travel on the large campus to make me feel more comfortable when I am out alone.” CN
 “You literally can get drugs anywhere if you want. It's ridiculous, underage drinking at UGA is one
of the biggest problems because it is so easy to gain access to liquor. Also, recreational drugs are
common but for some reason aren't as addressed as alcohol use; however that is eventually going to
have to change because so many students are experimenting with cocaine, marijuana, and other
harmful substances. If there is one thing UGA has to try to fix is the ease of accessibility to drugs
students here have.” CN

“Party College – Because of the proximity of the downtown Athens scene and the university,
drinking and drug use is a major problem especially on weekends although most of the viewable use
is limited to the downtown area and geek houses.” CN
