RESPONSIBILITY
Senior Telecommunications Technician performs advanced level programming, analysis,
maintenance, modifications, installations and repairs of telecommunications systems, equipment,
networks and servers, and oversees telephone and data wiring and cable installation projects within
and between facilities, and has responsibilities for organizing and maintaining infrastructure
documentation of the related infrastructure in Covenant University.
Telecommunications Technicians and performs work to maintain the university telecommunications
network including hardware and software support, cable network, call routing, call centers, network
services, switches, Private Branch Exchange (PBX) and Voice over Internet Protocol (VoIP) systems;
performs related support duties for Unified Communications technologies as they are implemented to
meet specific needs within the university. Telecommunications systems and network equipment and
receives only occasional instruction or assistance as new or unusual situations arise.
