TOSCA Structure 7.2 - New functionalities for advanced optimization in
the product development process.
Karlsruhe, Germany - October 19th 2012: Today, FE-DESIGN is announcing the
latest release of the TOSCA family of optimization products. TOSCA Structure
7.2 provides many improvements and enhancements, and is now available from
FE-DESIGN and its international resellers.
TOSCA Structure 7.2 provides new and enhanced features for topology and
shape optimization. These include improved manufacturing requirements for
topology optimization and more flexible symmetry requirements. It offers better
support of dynamic analyses (NVH) for clearly defined solid-void designs.
Moreover the handling of model properties for ANSYS has been improved.
A new tool for version 7.2 is the “Report Builder”, which creates reports
presenting optimization results in MS-Office (Word and PowerPoint) and HTML
documents. The input for reports is configurable. For 3D animation and
visualization, optimization results can be integrated with 3D .vtfx files or Audio
Video Interleave (AVI).
FE solver interfaces have been updated. Support is provided for ABAQUS 6.12,
ANSYS 14, MSC NASTRAN 2012, and NX NASTRAN 8.5.

improved functionality for nonlinear analysis, durability analysis, and

capability - Von Mises stress can now be specified as a design response
(DRESP) for the objective function or constraints".
