Development of Site Action Plan:
The technology committee will convene in September 2011 and monthly thereafter, to review the
district’s Technology Action Steps in an effort to implement and monitor El Camino High School’s
Technology Plan and Staff Technology Development Training.

Integration of Technology in Classroom Instruction, Personal Productivity and
Management Tasks
Classroom Instruction:
 All classrooms are aligned with Configuration 4: (Teacher computer for classroom
management, administrative applications, and instructional planning)
 Library/Media Center provides web based information access for students
 Teachers utilize Power Point or Keynote to present information (Multimedia
presentations)
 Technology is used to support EL instruction and Special Education students
 ROP desktop publishing courses teach students computer-based skills enabling student
presentations across the curriculum.
 Staff has access multimedia presentation equipment upon request
 Continue to setup student computer work centers in classrooms
 Continue to develop more APEX Online Learning course offerings
 All Language Arts teachers use Document Cameras in classrooms
 I Pass is being used for Math skill building and credit recovery
 Teachers use I Tunes U and Hippocampus as instructional resources for their classrooms
Personal Productivity:
 Recording assessments, organizing student data via spreadsheets
 Assessing student data via Data Director
 Lesson planning
 Internet research is available in classrooms, library, and computer labs
 Develop spreadsheets and databases to enhance student assessment information
 Word Processing

 School Website maintained and updated weekly
 Power School Grade Book is used to record citizenship grades and teacher comments about
student progress for Progress Reports
Management Tasks:
 Report Cards, progress reports, school correspondence, school newsletters
 Benchmark Assessments are used to drive student placement
 Data Director is used to access students’ strengths and weaknesses
 Staff development aimed at enhancing the use of technology in instruction
 Teacher-Created management forms and tests
 Standards-Based Curriculum/pacing guides
 Visual Aids for Subjects (overhead projectors, LCD projectors)
 Access to student management software (Power School)
 Purchasing Access QSS
 Technology & Textbook Inventory

Our goal is to raise the technology proficiency levels of our staff so that they have the skills
