Minutes of the March 20, 2014 Meeting
Call to Order and Member Introduction
The Arizona Corrosion Correlating Committee (AZCCC) meeting was called to order by Chairman Kevin Otto of Kinder Morgan at
10:00 AM at the South West Gas Office in Tempe, Arizona.

Past minutes from the 12/10/13 meeting were reviewed and approved.

A reminder to compile rectifier lists with GPS coordinates.
New Business
New Items from Members:
Kevin Otto of Kinder Morgan Energy Liquids announced a new deep anode/CP system-Marsh Station Rd. in Vail, AZ. CloseInterval- Surveys for 2014 include: LS-127/128 from El Paso to Lordsburg, LS-54 Tucson to Davis Monthan AFB, and LS-52Phoenix to Luke AFB.
Kim Ashcraft of APS announced that two new generators will be delivered to the Red Hawk Power Plant in September or
October. These 420,000 LB generators will service the Hang 2 project which is scheduled to be energized in June, 2015. A new
distributed anode system is scheduled for the Ocotiilo Power Plant.
Salt River Project has a rectifier/groundbed replacement scheduled at the Coronado Power Plant.

Nick Terry of SWG included the locations for ten 260ft deep anodes in Phoenix, Tempe , and Gilbert. Six are scheduled for
installation in April/May of 2014 and four are still in the design stage. Preston Ford mentioned that Transwestern is planning on
installing a new deep anode/rectifier in the Rainbow Valley area. SWG will be conducting close-interval- surveys in various
location in the Phoenix metro area.
Dale Kimmons included a list of seven replacement deep anodes and one new deep anode/rectifier in the eastern Arizona. A
close-interval- survey is scheduled in the Safford area.
Kevin Otto queried the group on the new City of Phoenix 36 inch concrete coated water line to installed on Buckeye Road from
35th Ave to 67thAve . Corrpro is doing the CP design.
Next AZCCC Meeting
The next AZCCC meeting will be held at the September, 2014 NACE meeting in Phoenix, AZ. Meeting date to be announced.
