Marco Polo Airport in Tessera, Venice is the closest and best connected airport to reach Padova. It is located about 40

From the airport you can reach Padova:

by shuttle Airservice: the shuttle picks up passengers from the airport and takes them to any address in

by car: you can rent a car at the airport. The major car hire companies have an office in the Airport.

by train: the closest railway station is located in Venezia Mestre. So you need to reach Venezia Mestre station
and from there take a train to Padova. The journey by train takes approximately 20-40 min, depending on
which train you take: local train (Regionale), local fast train (Regionale Veloce) or high-speed train (Alta
Velocità). Trains between Venezia Mestre and Padova are very frequent, in average every 20 min. Consult the

a taxi or use the public transportation system. FlyBus shuttles leave from outside the airport to Mestre railway

slower) local bus service: buses (routes 4, 5, and 45) leave from outside the airport, just few meters from Exit

The airports of Treviso (www.trevisoairport.it) (60 Km) and Verona (www.aeroportoverona.it) (80 Km) are also close
to Padova and provide easy access. Shuttle buses are also available from Verona and Treviso.
By Train
Padova Central Station is a key node of the Italian railway system and it is well served by fast trains (Alta Velocità) on
the main routs Torino-Trieste and Venezia-Roma. It is about 3 hours from Roma, 2 hours from Milano and Firenze, 1
hour from Bologna and Verona, and 30 minutes from Venezia.

Padova Central Station is located approximately 1.3 km from the conference venue, just 15 min walk. Outside the
railway station there are also the terminals for regional and city buses.
By Car

From the A4 Milano-Venezia highway, take the Padova Ovest exit: follow the directions for the VicenzaAbano Terme bypass and then take exit no. 4 in the direction of Centro-Cappella degli Scrovegni-Musei Civici
Eremitani.

From the A4 Torino-Trieste highway, take the Padova Est exit, then follow the signs to “Centro”.

From the A13 Bologna-Padova highway, take the Padova Sud exit, then follow the signs to “Centro”.
Please, be aware that in Padova Center there is an Enviromental Zone (Zona a TrafficoLimitato, ZTL, Zona Blu) (see

CONFERENCE VENUE
The conference will be held at the “Centro Culturale S. Gaetano”, Via Altinate 71, Padova.
The Center is located in the very heart of the City, at walking distance from all the major touristic attractions of Padova.
Bus lines 3, 8, 12, 18 and the tram reach the “PONTI ROMANI” stop that is in the proximity of the Center.
The initial Human Proteomics Project Initiative workshop (HPP) will be held on Tuesday 18 th of June, from 11.30 am at
the “Complesso Biologico Interdipartimentale A. Vallisneri”. The Vallisneri building, located about 1.3 km from
Padova Central Station, has 2 main entrances: one from Via U. Bassi 58, the other from Via G. Colombo 3.
Bus n. 5 and bus n.18 leave form Padova Central station and stop in the proximity of the building.
