what happens with my rubbish? - Wellhouse Housing Association

I live in a
flat…
Wellhouse Housing Association is
pleased to provide a weekly service for
our tenants in flat properties to assist
with rubbish collection.
What we will do
What we ask that you do
Have our contractors put your wheelie bin out
on street for collection on uplift day, return
when complete and ensure bin gates are
locked at all times
• Use wheelie bin for all domestic refuse
• Ensure bin bags are tied and tidy within your own bin – not
dumped in back court area
• Leave bin at gate entrance on the night before collection
• Return wheelie bin to back court area after collection - do not
leave at entrance throughout the week
• Tie up any bulk refuse and place at gate entrance alongside
bin on night before collection for our contractors to lift and
transport to bulk uplift site – we ask that you do not discard
items in back court area throughout the week as this can
attract vermin, looks unsightly and weather damage can make
rubbish difficult to move.
Provide a weekly bulk uplift service for your
larger items at various locations throughout
the estate
We’re serious about making Wellhouse a
better place to live and are keen to offer our
tenants the best
services possible. While we are happy to
do so our tenants still have a role to play.
Therefore estate walks and garden
inspections will resume allowing us to
closely monitor the situation. Those found to be not complying
with their conditions of tenancy will have appropriate actions
taken against them, some of which will include:
Being placed on
restricted repairs
Having your
housing
application
suspended
Having works carried
out as deemed
necessary and having
full costs recharged
Having legal actions
taken against your
tenancy, in serious
cases
