In an effort to continuously improve how we address attendance challenges; the Child Study Team has
developed a class entitled, “Attendance Matters.” The purpose of the class is to provide you with solution
focused strategies to improve school attendance.
Due to number of tardies and/or absences for your child, we are offering you this class as an incentive to
prevent truancy filing with the court. Please turn in class completion certificate the attendance clerk.

When: Tuesday, February, 12th from 5:30-7pm
For parents who elect not to attend the class and/or continue to be in non-compliance with State attendance
laws, our office will follow through with the truancy filing process.
**Parents please understand that attending this class will not clear the student’s record. If unexcused
tardies or absences continue the truancy filing process continues.
