Irish dance experience. Intro dancers need
Teacher approval
Adult dancers that have taken a minimum of 2 years Irish dance.
Previous ID is required: including basic reels, Jigs and Traditional Hard Shoe
Class offered at AA studio Only.

General Class Information
 Summer 2015 Classes are a continuation of the 2014-15 dance year/schedule.
Class levels are the same for returning dancers and DO NOT change until the Fall.
New dancers must enroll in New Intro classes.
 New Intro-Novice classes are approx: 50-55 minutes, depending on enrollment.
Open-PP-PC classes are approx: 1½ hours and Nat Q’s are approx. 2 hours
“O” Qualifiers/PC/OC dancers are required to sign up for a minimum of 9 classes.
 New Dancers…
NEW dancers register for a minimum of 6 summer classes in the NEW INTRO CLASS.
New dancers take the same class each week, (day and time). If you need to miss a class due to
vacation, you may double up in a different week if needed.
NEW INTRO class minimum is 6, max is 12.
Class Attire is athletic clothing: Shorts, T-Shirt/Tank and socks. Long hair pulled back.
NEW dancers do not need to purchase shoes.
If you are a new family to the school, a studio waiver must be signed prior to the first class.
 Returning Dancers…
Dancers sign up for their current level and may take as many classes as they pay for.
These classes can be taken any day/time the level is offered throughout the 6 week session and at
either dance studio location. This means you can double or triple up some weeks and miss others.
It’s a punch card system without the punch card. Attendance is taken in each class. Additional
classes may be bought if/when your pre-paid classes run out. (in increments of 3). Please note
preferred day and time on form (the day and time which you will attend most frequently)
Class Fees
 Classes are offered on a flex schedule. Class fees are based on the number of classes you plan to
attend. A dancer may sign up for a minimum of 6 summer classes and a maximum of 18. These
classes can be taken at any time throughout the summer session. Dance levels with small
enrollment may cause us to cancel a class offering.

 Tuition must be paid in full with registration. NO REFUNDS ARE ISSUED. Due date is May 26th, 2015.
Late Registration will be accepted thru June 5th IF class space is available. Late Fee is $15/family.
Payment is by Cash or Check Only. Returned check fee $25.00. All classes must be taken during the
summer ’15 session and DO NOT carry over to the fall. Refunds/credits are not offered for unfilled
paid classes. All unpaid fall/winter balances must be paid in full prior to summer class registration.
 Ceili classes and workshops are set up and paid for separate from solo classes.
Ceili Classes
The Plymouth Studio will offer 8-Hand Competition Ceili classes. These classes are designed to prepare
those interested in competition 8-hand ceili. Ceili classes are set up according to age, not dance level and
are open to anyone with a minimum of 9 months ID experience. Introductory dancers should have teacher
recommendation.
 ALL competitive ceili classes are 1 ½ hours long and the fee is $15/dancer/workshop.
Max tuition for competitive ceili classes is $30/dancer and $75/family
 Ceili workshop fees are in addition to regular class fees.
 A minimum of 8 dancers is required for each ceili workshop
 Refunds will ONLY be issued if a workshop is cancelled due to small enrollment.
 Enrollment for each workshop will remain open until 1 week prior to the workshop date.
Updates are emailed/posted in reference to enrollment/classes running/cancelations.
 Team Age groups are Under 8, 10, 12, 15 and over 15yrs. Class age groups are 6-9, 10-12, 13 and up
Competition Ceili Class Schedule will be posted separately once dates and times are confirmed.

 Auditions for Oireachtas 2015 teams will be Thursday, July 23rd starting at 5pm, by age group.
 All chosen team members must attend Ceili camp week of August 10th

Additional Studio Information
 All Competitive Dancers are encouraged to keep a log of their competitions and placements. Proof
of placement is required for higher level competition registration.
 Private Dance Lessons are available ONLY to those registered for summer classes. Students are
permitted to take 1 extra dance session/private lesson a week, along with their registered studio
classes. NO EXCEPTIONS. A list of teachers and costs is posted at the studio.
Student teachers are not allowed to waive this studio rule or make exceptions.
 Additional ceili and workshop classes may be offered based on studio and teacher availability and
requests. If you are interested in specific classes aside from those scheduled, please email the
studio to check on availability.
