CHAPLAIN’S MESSAGE:
My dear Brothers,

Sept. 27:
Morning meeting with Bishops at St. Charles Borromeo Seminary
Morning visit to Curran-Fromhold Correctional Facility
4 p.m.: Pope Francis will celebrate a Papal Mass on the Benjamin Franklin Parkway
Having personally experienced Papal Visits to the United States, I can tell you that at every
venue the Pope visits will be a massive crowd of participants, and onlookers. This is going to be
especially true of the Papal Mass scheduled for September 27th on the Ben Franklin Parkway.
Philadelphia transit and automobile traffic will stop all over the city. The officials are expecting
2 to 3 million people to be present for this event. There have not been any tickets or passes given
to the Mass (not even to the clergy) so attendance is on a first come basis. Thus I would strongly
suggest that you enjoy the wonder and joy of our Holy Father’s Visit on television in the comfort
of your home. I am certain that every even will be broadcast on E.W.T.N. (Eternal Word
Television Network) DISH Network Channel Number: 261, Comcast Channel Number: 28 or
1318 in High Definition.
I hope that we all can watch and experience this historic moment in the American Church as
Pope Francis visits the American North East.
Yours in Christ,
Fr. Mick

Seniors admission. Children under 12 are free. The picnic area is comprised of 100
umbrella tables. Charcoal grills are allowed. Gas grills are not. It is “first come” for these

INSURANCE MATTERS:
Don’t wait, act today
When you’re family is hungry, you see that this need is taken care of quickly. You don’t put it
off until tomorrow, you act immediately to the best of your ability. As a provider to your wife
and children, your responsibilities are great and your time is spread thin. It is easy to forget
important tasks or let them slip to the backburner for later.
Everything, including your health, can change in the blink of an eye. Don’t put off today what
can’t wait until tomorrow. As your professional Knights of Columbus agent, I urge you to make
securing life insurance for you and your family a top priority.
It is my fraternal obligation to make sure that every member has the opportunity to protect his
family with the Order’s top-rated insurance products. I’ll work with you to put a plan in place
that will help your family when that help is what they needed the most.
Your Knights of Columbus insurance program is second to none. As the premier safety net for
Catholic families for more than 126 years, our insurance program makes me proud. But I’m also
concerned that too many of our brother Knights have not yet looked into the needs of their
family. I suspect that, for many of them, life insurance has drifted to the backburner until
tomorrow. Don’t be one of them; move your insurance needs to the forefront today.
I’m at 609-549-6568 and jonathan.pandofo@kofc.org Call me. Let’s talk.
