FOR SPEAKER’S SERVICES

This memorandum provides basic information for you concerning the date, time, and nature of
your presentation as well as information about NASIG’s session speaker policies.
PLACE OF PRESENTATION: Hilton Fort Worth, Fort Worth, TX
DATE OF PRESENTATION: May 1-4, 2014
NATURE OF PRESENTATION (please note there are three parts of the presentation):

One 60 minute session
A short paper (6-10 double-spaced pages) based on your presentation for inclusion
in the conference proceedings. You may elect to write up your own paper or have
the paper be written up by a recorder appointed by the NASIG Proceedings Editor.
Please indicate your choice below:
( ) I will write and submit the paper (due June 30, 2014)
( ) I prefer a NASIG Proceedings appointed recorder write the paper
● A copy of your handouts and/or presentation slides to be uploaded to NASIG’s
SlideShare site at www.slideshare.net/NASIG (if applicable)
COMPENSATION - Session speakers will be eligible for a discounted registration rate if
they register before Early Bird registration closes. If speakers register after Early Bird
registration has closed, speakers will no longer be eligible for the discounted rate.
A member of the Program Planning Committee will ask for your audio-visual requirements early
next year and inform you of the deadline by which they need a reply. (Please note this
information is extremely time-sensitive and requests received after the deadline cannot be
accommodated.)
There will be no obligation on your part or NASIG's if a notice of cancellation is received in
writing at least 90 days before the appearance date.
Projected starting times of your session may be subject to minor modifications due to
unanticipated events. If this should occur, NASIG will notify you via telephone and/or e-mail as
soon as possible.
You retain the copyright to your presentation. As part of NASIG's annual conference
proceedings, you will contribute a short article based on your presentation or a recorder will be
assigned by NASIG’s Proceedings Editor to provide a written summary of your presentation.
The publisher has certain rights to first print publication in the NASIG Proceedings, along with
rights to conduct its normal business. Please refer to the Taylor & Francis Authors Services page
for a detailed description of current author and publisher rights:
http://journalauthors.tandf.co.uk/preparation/lisrights.asp. NASIG retains the rights to produce a
version in suitable form(s) for reading by members on the NASIG website. You may not submit
this work to any other journal or book publication until after it has appeared in the NASIG
Proceedings.
This Memorandum of Understanding is accepted once signed and dated by both parties.
