Hampshire Harbour’s 30 Mile
Bike Ride
All 5 of our doctors and two of our nurses took
part in the British Heart Foundation’s
Hampshire Harbour’s 30 mile bike ride earlier
this month.

The route started at Langstone Technology
Park, and took them over Portsdown Hill then
into Fareham and Gosport across on the ferry
to Portsmouth along Southsea seafront and
then finally back along farlington marshes and
onto the finishing line back at Langstone
Technology Park.
We managed to raise over £455 for this
wonderful charity and the doctors would like
to thank patients for their support and
donations, as well as hoping to see some of our
patients participating with us next year!

Did Not Attend Appointments - A waste of time!
REMEMBER: ALWAYS CANCEL APPOINTMENTS YOU NO LONGER REQUIRE!
In the last 3 months we have had a total of 409
missed appointments throughout the surgery. This
equated to 220 GP appointments and 189 nursing
appointments. Throughout this period it shows 93
hours were wasted that could have been spent
treating other patients that needed our service.
PLEASE HELP US TO HELP YOU!
LET US KNOW AS SOON AS POSSIBLE IF YOU NO
LONGER REQUIRE OR CANNOT MAKE YOUR
APPOINTMENT.
The Practice will be closed on the following dates:

If you require medical attention during this time, please ring 111 for general medical problems or
999 if a life threatening emergency.

Please respect other patients
confidentiality whilst speaking with the
receptionists and stand back from the
desk. If you would like to discuss an issue
with the receptionist in private please let
them know.
There are occasions when patients
need to be assessed by a doctor which
might involve intimate examinations.
This practice is committed to putting
patients at ease whenever possible,
and if you wish a chaperone to be
present during your examination please
do not hesitate to ask the receptionists
whilst booking your consultation with
the doctor/nurse or during your
consultation.
Repeat Prescriptions
Please remember that you are able to put
your repeat prescription requests in up to
two weeks in advance.
Are your details up to date?
Have you changed your telephone number, address or name?
Please let us know of any changes so we can keep your records up to date.
Car Parking at the Practice
Please could all patients ensure that they use
the paths provided when accessing The
Health Centre, please don’t walk through the
car park.
We have had some near accidents where
people have been walking through the middle
of the car park whilst cars have been
reversing.
Please note that the car park attached to the
building is for staff only, with 4 disabled
bays.
Recently we have had many problems with
staff and doctors being blocked in by
patients. DOCTORS MAY BE REQUIRED FOR
EMERGENCY VISITS.
If you need to drop off a family member or
friend near the door, please then move out
into the free council car park to wait for
them.
Space is extremely limited in the staff car
park and staff and patients cars have been
damaged due to inappropriate parking.
Please remove your car from the car park
as soon as you have completed your
appointment within the surgery. This is to
ensure that the free council car park and
disabled bays within the staff car park can
be used by our other patients.
Last Month 98% of patients surveyed
would be extremely likely or likely to
recommend our practice
