BRIDGES OVER THE RIVER LUNE
The Rive Lune, which flows through Lancaster, is a major river and providing crossing
points (rather than the original ford) has long been a major engineering challenge. The
Guide to Lancaster No. 22 gives more details about them. The map below shows their
