6. Budget – Please provide detailed information for all expenditures not to exceed
$1500.00. Do you have additional funds for this project and/or are you waiting to
hear about another funding source? If so, please list funding sources and amounts
(and whether the money is already awarded or pending). PLEASE INCLUDE
JUSTIFICATION FOR EACH ITEM FOR WHICH YOU SEEK IPS FUNDING.

7. References – List any literature cited in your application.
8. Referees – List the name, affiliation, and email address of at least two people who
can provide a reference for you. You do NOT need to ask for a letter from these
individuals; the IPS Conservation Committee will contact them only if needed. If you
are a student, please include your supervisor as one of these referees.
9. Permits and/or Approvals – There may be permits or approvals needed for your
project – depending on your specific plans, your institution’s requirements, or the
regulations specified by the location of the project. To the best of your ability, please
indicate whether you have the required permission to carry out the planned project, by

Conservation through Community Involvement (CCI)
If you plan to include community conservation in your program you may be eligible for
an additional award of $500 to support these initiatives. Please describe your
Community Conservation Initiative (CCI) component below, addressing how these
funds will be used and how this will impact conservation in your region. For more
information on CCI and suggested CCI practices, please see the Guidelines for
Conservation through Community Involvement posted in the publications section of
the IPS website. (Do NOT exceed the space provided here. If you are not applying for
CCI funds, write “Not Applicable.”)
