1. Bhaskar as a Newspaper titled “Dainik Bhaskar” Hindi daily
Dainik Bhaskar, currently India’s most widely read Hindi daily, is circulated in Madhya
Pradesh, Chhatisgarh, Rajasthan, Chandigarh, Haryana and Himachal Pradesh.
2. Bhaskar as a Newspaper titled “Divya Bhaskar” Gujarati daily
Divya Bhaskar, the most widely-read Gujarati daily in Gujarat, is published from
Ahmedabad, Surat and Vadodra
Recently, Warburg Pincus has valued “Dainik Bhaskar” and “Divya Bhaskar” brand over
Rs.2000 cr. and on the basis of the same they made an investment of Rs.150 cr. by taking
7.14% stake in Writers & Publishers Ltd.
3. Bhaskar as a Printer
Group is also engaged in printing activities on job work basis to the reputed Groups like
Times of India, Hindustan Times, Business Standard, Tej Press, Observer etc. at Noida.
4. “Saurashtra Samachar” a Gujarati daily
The Group has recently acquired a well known newspaper “Saurashtra Samachar” a gujarati
daily with circulation of more than 40000 copies per day, the most widely read Gujarati
daily in Bhavnagar Distt., Gujarat.
5. “Aha Jindagi” a monthly magazine in Hindi
In September 2004, the group has launched Aha Jindagi, a complete magazine for body,
mind and life. As per recently released NRS Survey-2005 the total readership of the
magazine is 5, 92,000 readers.
6. “DNA” a English daily
The group has launched a English daily “Daily News & Analysis” (DNA) from Mumbai in July
2005 with more than 3.50 lacs copies per day. This newspaper is being printed and
published from Mumbai under the flagship company M/s Diligent Media Corporation Ltd.,
a joint venture of ZEE and Dainik Bhaskar.
Solvent Extraction, Refinery and Vanaspati
In 1993, Shri Agrawal guided Bhaskar Group’s diversification drive into Solvent Extraction,
Refinery and Vanaspati.

Brand Equity
Sharda Solvent Ltd. holds the brand equity of “Bhaskar Soya Oil”, “Bhaskar Pure Oil” and
“Bhaskar Vanaspati”.
Textile
In 1996, the Bhaskar group further expanded its portfolio by venturing into the textiles sector.
For the new endeavor, Shri Agarwal incorporated Bhaskar Industries Ltd. (an ISO 9002 company)
to set up a spinning unit at Mandideep, near Bhopal, M.P.
The products of Bhaskar Industries are sold under “Bhaskar Fabrics” and “Bhaskar Denim” brand
names.
Import & Export of Polished semi-precious stones & Bullion
In 1999, the group added export of polished semi-precious stones to its domain of interests.
The US and several other countries across the world constitute the chief markets.
In 2004, group imported gold worth Rs.180 crore and helped many cities across India enjoy the
glitter of fine living.
TV Media, FM Radio Broadcast and information technology
In 1999, Shri Agrawal buttressed his media property holdings by envisaging the creation of a
cable TV network. Bhaskar TV, launched in Jaipur that year, is supported by the state-of-the
infrastructure including a well-equipped studio and the latest telecasting equipment.
Today, a separate and customized Bhaskar TV channel serves Indore, Jabalpur and Bhopal
(M.P.), providing the cities with wholesome infotainment for the whole family.
1. FM Radio
Bhaskar group has got 17 centers FM Radio Broadcast rights in cities of India viz, Jaipur,
Jodhpur, Udaipur, Kota, Ajmer, Chandigarh, Ahmedabad, Surat, Nagpur, Bhopal, Indore,
Gwalior, Jabalpur, Raipur, Bilaspur, Amritasar and Jalandhar. Jaipur has already operational
from May 2006. Bhaskar Groups FM Radio is known as “MY FM” and under the aegis of
Synergy Media Entertainment Ltd.
2. SMS, MMS and other content activity
Now the group has entered into short code business on mobile for SMS, MMS and other
content activity. Group short code is “4567” registered under its group Company I Media
Centres Ltd.
The group also has plans to venture into areas such as tele-medicine, Internet, cable telephony
and video-conferencing – services that are going to be critical in our increasingly wired society.
The creation of an E-commerce portal is on the agenda as well.
Trading Activity
In 1998, Bhaskar had diversified into trading of such products as seeds, textile yarn, fabrics,
and salt.
Recently, the group launched its newest product – Bhaskar Salt. Within an astoundingly short
span of time since its launch, Bhaskar Salt has become the preferred option at every kitchen
and dinning table. The salt contains special tastemaker that gives it special edge in flavour. Shri
Agrawal once
explained the rationale for creating this product: “It is my dream to provide good quality
(iodized) salt to every house, be it in a village or a city. Urban population is already health
conscious and Bhaskar will ensure that it consciously promotes health awareness rural areas
too.”
Bhaskar’s trading activity is carried out by a group company known as STITEX Global Ltd.
Mall, Multiplexes, Hotel, SEZ, Amusement park and water-park
Group’s media clout and liquidity put together made it possible for it to acquire best located
land in major cities of the country. So, Bhaskar Group is targeting new heights in real estate
project as brief below: 
Group has been short listed in a tender and allotted 5.90 acres of land in the heart of the
Bhopal city and planning to develop an integrated Mall, Multiplexes and Hotel at a cost
approx. Rs.300 cr.

The Group is also planning to develop an integrated Mall, Multiplexes and Hotel on a piece
of land of 62,000 sq. mtrs. of Fun Kingdom in Jaipur at a cost approx. Rs.150 cr.

The Group is also planning to develop an integrated Commercial and residential complex
in Ahmedabad on a piece of land of 106 Acres at a cost approx. Rs.1000 cr.

The group also proposes to develop a Theme Park in Chandigarh at a cost approx. Rs.500
cr.
Now, Bhaskar group is setting up a world-class SEZ at Indore in the area of approx. 5000 acres,
in partnership with the Madhya Pradesh Government. With its location in the centre of the
country, excellent connectivity, adequate availability of resources, and presence of a proactive
government, Indore international airport, proposed MR-10 road, the broad gauge MumbaiDelhi railway line and other key industrial centres nearby. It will be a boon to Madhya Pradesh
Industrial and commercial sector and inhabitants of state. In first phase approx. 2500 acres of
land will be used for the proposed SEZ of a multi-sector focus initiative like Textiles and
Garments, Pharma sector, Gems and Jewellery, Engineering, Auto Components, Food
Processing, Metal Working and Information Technology and Knowledge Industry.
Pharmaceuticals
In 2004, Bhaskar group has taken over one pharmaceutical Company VIZ. Bright Drugs
Industries Ltd., engaged in manufacture of Capsules, tablets, liquids.
Wind Energy
Now, Bhaskar has set up 4.5 MW Wind Farm in Ratlam, Madhya Pradesh by installing 6 Nos. of
750 KW Wind Energy Generator. The total cost of project will be Rs. 19.20 Crores. It has become
operational from March 2006. This activity will be carried out in the flagship Company Writers &
Publishers Ltd.
“Abhivyakti” a cultural body of the Bhaskar Group
In 1999, Bhaskar Group had set up a cultural body name “Abhivaykti” in Bhopal, which is
organizing the various cultural and tradition functions in Madhya Pradesh, Rajashtan and
Gujarat. It provides folk dance, vocational, spiritual and other training on regular basis.
The Sanskar Valley School
Bhaskar Group has set up a complete school “The Sansakar Vally School” on 23 Acre land at
Chandanpura, under the aegis of the Sharda Devi Charitable Trust. The school has complete
facilities of academic blocks, smart classrooms, games fields, swimming pools, hobby centres,
dining hall and kitchen, auditorium, amphitheatre, infirmary, computer laboratories, library,
