Blue Devil’s Soccer Camp
Open to Boys Individuals or Teams
Camp Philosophy - is to expose players to the techniques and
tactics that have helped the Blue Devil Soccer players to
become some of the most competitive players in the state. Blue
Devil’s Soccer Camps ensures to provide the right building
blocks necessary to be a successful soccer player. If you have
seen Coach Shaw’s Blue Devils Team play you would be very
impressed with the attractive style of ball possession and
creativity on the ball. Coach Shaw brings this same mentality
to his camp training and the players that attend benefit by the
amount of touches they receive on the ball at each training
session






Players will receive individual and team
instruction at their appropriate age level
Skills will be taught through small-sided
games and activities, as well as
team/individual competition
Athletes will be relationships with coaches
and players at Westfield High School
Players will develop and individual work
ethic and game fitness through a variety
of small-sided games and controlled
scrimmages

GENERAL INFORMATION
Blue Devil’s Soccer Camp Application
Director: Eric Shaw
Eric just completed his first year at the helm of WHS
Boys Soccer program. In his first year he finished
with a record of 13-6. Eric is a graduate of Seton
Hall University where he was a 4-year starter from
93-97. Eric continued his playing career with the NJ
Imperials semi-pro team from 97-99. He started his
coaching career at SHU as assistant/goalkeeper coach
in 98. Eric then coached at his Alma Mater, Union
High School with the boys program from 98-04, then
moved to St Benedicts Prep from 04-06. The past 6
years he was the head coach of the Union High
school girls program. Eric played his youth soccer
for the Union Lancers who were state cup champions
from 88-93. Eric is entering his 17th year as an
Elementary Health and Physical Education Teacher
in Union.

Grouping: Campers are grouped according to
age and/or ability. This camp is open to only to
boys entering 1st grade – 8th grade.

Equipment: Required items for all campers:
shorts, shinguards, sneakers, soccer cleats, ball
and water bottle.
GRADE ENTERING IN FALL: ________
Rain: In case of rain, all camp activities may be
held in the gymnasium (contingent on facility
availability).
Extreme Weather: In case of extreme weather
and/or dangerous weather conditions, the camp
reserves the right to cancel all activities. The
camp will not provide refund or credit for loss
of day.
Meals: Campers are required to bring their own
snack
Schedule: Campers arrive at 9:00 am and
depart at 1:00 pm.
Medical: Secondary accident insurance is
provided to each camper. The camp will send
you a Medical Form which must be completed
and returned prior to camp opening. The camp
will not be responsible for administering
prescribed medication.
Publicity: Camp reserves the right to use
individual or group pictures taken at camp for
publicity purpose.
Dismissals: Camp reserves the right to dismiss
any camper for misconduct.
