Fred was born in Fort Necessity, Louisiana to a large loving family – fourteen siblings + mom and dad –
where he was taught to support one another as a unit and to pass on to the next generation the legacy of
family unity.
Fred believes that: Every generation stands on the shoulders of
the generation before. When a mother or father leave a solid
foundation or history the next generation advances much faster
because they don’t have to start from scratch, that is why he writes,
speaks and teaches families to connect.
Helping families to connect, encourage, and love one another in
order to perpetuate the family name and legacy are also part of
Fred’s mission and passion.
furthermore he grew a successful lawn care business, and sold it in order to enroll in law school. After
graduating from Southern University Law Center he went to work as a legal compliance officer for a
major national mortgage company in Atlanta, Georgia, before he began a full time career teaching
Business Law at Kennesaw State University. In 2011, Fred was recruited to come back to Louisiana to
become the Chair of the Division of Human Behavior Department at Louisiana College, where he also
teaches law related classes. Now through C.O.N.N.E.C.T. T.O.D.A.Y. Fred Jones Speaks LLC, teaches,
coaches and trains family leaders to connect, bond and learn from one another while leaving a lasting
legacy.
Fred is a God send and a life line to those families with the desire and commitment to connect, bond,
overcome un-forgiveness and enjoy one another while building a lasting legacy!
Fred has been helping his own extended and very large family to connect via organizing, coordinating,
and planning family teleconference calls: birthday calls, family meetings and weekly prayer sessions.
Dr. Jones, as he is known in his field is a practicing estate planning attorney and popular college professor
where thousands of clients and former students have been impacted by his teaching. You can find his
teachings on YouTube; hear him on local radio stations, teleconferences, professional and business workshops.
Fred has authored several books including Business Law and
Ethics: Developing Analytical and Critical Thinking Skills,
Through A Teacher’s Eye, All Rise, and About My Father’s
Business.
His latest publication C.O.N.N.E.C.T. T.O.D.A.Y. Family and
Friends United serves as a roadmap for other families to connect and
bond. Fred enjoys working with family leaders who are seeking to transfer and receive generational
wealth by embracing their inheritance and leaving a legacy for generations to come.
