BSA-005
Ordering Policy
PURPOSE
To provide all forms of textbook media and supplementary classroom
educational materials to students, faculty, employees and departments from a
central location at reasonable prices.
POLICY
Ordering of books for classroom use: The Bookstore will provide textbooks and
other related classroom material for the students as required by the faculty.
PROCEDURE
Ordering required and/or recommended textbooks for classroom use:
1.
Faculty must submit a completed textbook adoption form for each course
either in person, via email (textbooks.bookstore@miami.edu), fax 305284-4462, or through inter-office mail. Faculty can also submit textbook
requests through our Bookstore website at www.miami.edu/bookstores.
First-time users will be prompted for a pass code: 475.
2.
The textbook adoption forms are due to the Bookstore as follows:
Fall term – April 15th
Spring term – October 15th
Summer term(s) – March 15th
The adoption form must be completed in its entirety. This must include:
Department, Course Number, and Section (i.e., ACC 608 71)
Professor Name, Phone Number, and Email
Estimated Enrollment in the class
Textbook Usage (i.e., required or recommended)

Author, Title, Publisher, Edition of requested book(s)
ISBN, if known
Special order books/software: The Bookstore will special-order hardbacks,
quality paperbacks, and software which are not regularly stocked in the
Bookstore.

The
special
order
can
be
placed
via
email
@
textbooks.bookstore@miami.edu or placed at the Book Information Desk
located on the second floor of the Bookstore.
2.
Allow 2-3 business days for normal delivery, 2-3 weeks for Academic
Presses, and 6-8 weeks for foreign publishers.
