Ballet shoes should be pink, Tap shoes Black (other than performance
Teams) and Jazz shoes Black.

in the Gym of the Municipal Building, Arrive in Ballet

Rehearsal: May 10th @ 5:00 pm have Ballet shoes on, no need to wear
costume.
Recital:
May 12th
show starts @6:30pm
arrive by 6:00
The side door will open at 5:30pm for the dancers.

You may purchase tights through the Wellness Center.
No underwear is to be worn with your tights.
Arrive with hair and make-up completely finished.
General Information
Dress rehearsal is MANDATORY. Without dress rehearsal the dancers
do not know where to go when they arrive, what the layout is, their
positioning on stage, how the recital will run, ect. It is their only chance
to rehearse on stage prior to the recital. Some adjustments are often
made at dress rehearsal.
For pictures and dress rehearsal arrive a few minutes early. Arrive with
your hair and makeup done. And in your first costume. Everyone should
arrive in Ballet costumes for the rehearsal, see picture schedule for which
costume to arrive in.
Turn all electronic devices off or on silent. They are very distracting to
the dancers.
No flash photography while the dancers are dancing when the house lights
are out. This is distracting and blinding for the dancers.
Be sure you label ALL of your belongings (shoes, water bottle, costume,
etc). Label shoes on the inside.
At dress rehearsal you may watch. However please keep movement and
volume done so you don’ t distract those rehearsing.
All the dancers in the class should look the same. If you are unable to
get the hair or makeup done they way it is need ask others in your class
for help.
If you have a special needs person in your party for the recital let your
teacher know by Dress Rehearsal.
Recital is general seating. Please refrain from saving seats before the
door is open. You are on your honor here. If you do save seats don’ t
be surprised if what you placed there goes missing (we won’ t steal
anything but it will be placed in the sound booth for you to pick up)
NO FOOD OR DRINK beyond the hallway.
We are still in need of volunteers. Please check the list on the bulletin
board.

allows me to check my information so I answer your questions correctly.

For the recital the dancers should enter through the stage left outside
entrance. DO NOT go through the main hallway or auditorium.
For rehearsal please enter through the front doors.
All dancers should arrive 30min prior to the start of the recital.
Bits and Pieces
No fingernail polish
No underwear
No tattoos
No feathers in the hair (if you have one be sure it hide it among the hair)
Be sure that all of your belongings are labeled. Everything looks the same at
recital.
No jewelry!!!
Be sure that your dancer looks like everyone else in her class.

Pictures are held in the gym. Please be dressed and ready at you scheduled time.
If you have any conflict with the above times please let me know ASAP.
Tickets
for the recital will be on sale during pictures. Hair can be worn however you
want(they are your pictures). Even if you are not going to be purchasing pictures
please come so we have everyone in the class involved. If you are not going to be
coming to pictures please inform you teacher so we don’t hold up the day.

Sit with your class in the back of the auditorium.
Be considerate of other dancers and stay in your seat while waiting.
