Local Intake Area

The following will define the local-intake area of this school:
From the junction of Mandurah Road and the locality boundary between Secret Harbour and
Port Kennedy, north along Mandurah Road (east side included) to Stakehill Road, east along
Stakehill Road (south side included) to the junction of Stakehill Road, Baldivis Road and the
locality boundary between Baldivis and Karnup, east along this locality boundary to the
Serpentine River, south along the Serpentine River to the southern boundary of the locality of
Karnup, west along the southern boundary of the locality of Karnup to Mandurah Road,
continuing west across Mandurah Road and along the locality boundary between Madora Bay
and Singleton to the Indian Ocean coastline, north along the coastline to a point on the locality
boundary between Secret Harbour and Port Kennedy and east along this locality boundary to
Mandurah Road.
The following defines an optional area between Comet Bay College and John Tonkin College:
From the coastline of the Indian Ocean, east along the locality boundary between Madora Bay
and Singleton to Mandurah Road, south along Mandurah Road (west side included) to a point on
the easterly extension of Chieftan Pass, west along this extension to Chieftan Pass and west
along Chieftan Pass (north side included) to Victor Drive, south along Victor Drive (west side
included) to George Hibbert Road, west along George Hibbert Road (both sides excluded), and
west along its westerly extension to the coastline and north along the coastline to the locality
boundary of Madora Bay and Singleton.
Note:
Baldivis Secondary College opened in 2013 with Year 8 students only. The school will offer
Year 8 and 9 in 2014
Years 7 to 10 in 2015
Years 7 to 11 in 2016 and
Years 7 to 12 in 2017.
Students of secondary school age residing in an area in which a new public school has recently
been established, and which offers only a limited range of year-levels, may not be able to
attend their local school. For such a student, the local-intake area arrangements that existed
for their residential address before the opening of the new school, will continue to apply.
With the exception of the locality of Keralup, all of the current local-intake area of Baldivis
Secondary College was located within the previous Comet Bay College local-intake area. A
secondary student residing in the local-intake area of Baldivis Secondary College, and in a
year-level not offered at Baldivis Secondary College, is entitled to attend Comet Bay College.
