Concussion Care
Blessed Trinity Catholic High School and the Athletic Training and Sports Medicine Program have
integrated an approach to appropriately manage injuries, especially concussions. It is imperative
that any and all concussions are reported immediately, so that we may initiate our protocol with
your student’s guidance counselors, teachers, school nurse and administration.
Below are attachments of documents pertaining to concussions and latest research as well as links
to a very informative program the CDC has put together in the recognition, care, and management
of concussions. Also below is a list of our recommended physicians to be consulted in the event of a
concussion who all have specialized training in the recognition, treatment and management of
concussions.
