PR – Easter Revision, last chance saloon

Easter Revision: The last chance saloon?
With A-Level grade offers for university places assured to be as competitive as ever, the
pressure is on for students taking their final year exams this summer. Competition for places
at good secondary schools, colleges and universities is more intense than ever, with more
emphasis placed on higher grades and less places.
Now, more than ever is the time for prospectus students to get it right. More and more
students, with their parents, are looking towards well-established Easter revision courses run
by specialist colleges and agencies to amplify their chances of summer success.
Alex Dyer, director and organiser of Easter Revision courses at Tutor House, a London-based
private tutoring agency, says: ‘Year on year we’ve had an increase in demand for private
tuition over the Easter holidays’.
‘It’s because of this surge in demand that for the first time this year Tutor House is offering an
intensive revision workshop in April for students’.
What are the benefits of Easter Revision courses?
There is plenty to take away from revision courses and workshops. Students will experience
an intensive style of working through the syllabus at speed, without distraction and a large
class, as they would at school.
Each class has 3 – 6 students working together in a group, which is great for short
interactions, helping each other and working through the syllabus as a team.
There’s continual feedback from the tutors, aiding students to work through their own problem
areas as well as focusing on individuals. Unlike a normal classroom this is an interactive,
enjoyable, clear and concise environment.
Each syllabus is explained thoroughly, and exam questions are addressed in relation to
specific topics.
The main advantage of these Easter revision courses is to build a student’s confidence by
improving their exam technique, giving them sufficient revision tips and providing them with
quality understanding of their syllabus.
Revision skills and methods can be universally applied to all subjects. It’s about knowing how
to answer the exam questions and what the examiners will be looking for. Learning, believe it
or not, can be fun.
Director of Tutor House, Alex Dyer said, ‘All students who attend Easter revision workshops
or seek extra help from private tutors will benefit. Key material is covered, exam style
questions are answered, confidence is improved and no-one gets left behind.’
Alex Dyer goes on to say, ‘Every single student, regardless of their ability, will benefit from the
Easter revision course. Motivation and confidence are key attributes for a student’s success,
and improve dramatically, at the right time before the exams.’
A parent from Tutor House said, ‘The revision courses are well-organised and intense. I found
the course motivated my daughter and gave her a new found confidence when taking exams.’
‘It’s a great atmosphere to learn in and my son is certainly going to be apart of Tutor Houses’
Easter revision course – I couldn’t recommend them enough!’
